Amazing experience. Etihad A380 First looks so stylish (Emirates looks a bit blingy). The one area where Emirates is way better than Etihad is the on-board bar...Emirates' bar is a very social area, Etihad bar is often empty - it just feels enclosed. I've not done Etihad A380 First - only 777 First (which was great). Agree this product would be ideal on a 12 hour flight - 6-7 hours just isn't enough!

The amount of space you get in the apartment is unreal - I think maybe only Singapore Suites on the A380 beats it. And definitely agree regarding the onboard bar - every time I've flown on the Etihad A380 it's never been as social as the bars on Emirates and Qatar which always have people hanging out.

This is definitely in the top 3. I think my favourite ever flight was my very first First experience on the Emirates A380 (years ago, no video). Going from flying economy to onboard bars and showers will always be a great memory.

Awesome review! I’m looking into doing the same in 2024. How were you able to book a J BKK-AUH and F AUH-LHR? I’m trying to book from MNL but the website is not allowing me to book 2 different fare types.

I booked through the Etihad website. I searched for BKK-LHR in F and the results gave me options for BKK-AUH in J (with a warning to say the first leg wasn't in F) and then the AUH-LHR in F.

Great video. Flight was probably about 6 hours or so and I think if it were me I would have resisted the urge to sleep. Wouldn’t have wanted to have missed a single minute.😀

Yeah the flight was a touch over 7 hours. I know exactly what you mean - I did stay awake as long as I could but sleeping in that bed was part of the experience!

hey great video. just wondering, how did you find /search for the flight from thailand? did you actively know it'd be way cheaper via that route or did you stumble upon it? was it one ticket? how did you select business for one flight and first class for the 2nd flight if it was one ticket? super bucket list. i can't afford $6k... but maybe $2k from thailand i would definitely cough up so i'm really curious. Hey - thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed! I stumbled across this deal as I had been spending some time in Thailand and needed to fly back. I usually just play around with Google Flights to see what sort of prices I can find. The two flights were on the same ticket - I booked it through the Etihad website selecting first class from BKK to LHR and then the first leg will show a warning that it's actually in business class. Good luck and hopefully you get to experience this too, you'll love it!

Okay, handsome, this is the first video of yours that I have viewed and here are my thoughts. Killer smile and piercing eyes...you definitely look good in front of the camera, yet you don't appear to be ego-maniacal narcissist like other travel vloggers (Josh Cahill), so thank you for that and don't change that about yourself. Despite that fact we see you in front of the camera for a good chunk of the running time of this video, you didn't make this about YOU and it's clear that your focus is about the airline. Again, thank you! And I see that you're a respectful man by how you lowered your voice while doing some commentary in the airport lounge. And you recorded most of your narration separate from the flight rather than recording it during the trip which is something that really irritates me. Other vloggers that end up talking through much of their journey have absolutely no concern or respect for any of the other passengers sitting nearby. Excellent video quality. I wish your video was a bit longer, but it was concise and compact of high quality. And lucky you to be able to experience premium cabin services. I did a lot of travel from 1990-2012 but then slowed down considerably after that. I have been to 67 countries and territories worldwide but have only been in International First Class on only American Airlines and Northwest Airlines. The majority of my travels earlier on were in Economy but I have flown many times in Business Class on quite a few carriers: American Airlines, Northwest Airlines, Continental Airlines, Delta Airlines, Alitalia, Air France, IBERIA, SWISS International Airlines & KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.
