I know that this is a movie, but it seems like these same themes keep repeating over and over again. Makes me think that this is their reality. If so, this is maddening. @@Etinosaofficial Let me say I appreciate the work that went into this production. However, we see sooooo many cases of husbands cheating on their wives as if it’s normal. It’s not. My line of work from the Administrative level for years, required intervention to protect women and shelter them from men thinking they are GOD’s and mistreating and disrespecting the marriage. Some women had money with involved family members who removed the wife from that home and got authorities involved and some needed financial assistance. Well, this is in the abroad, where marriage is not a do or die most of the time, so I get it. This movie triggered me I must say.

Wow, I thought I was the only one who believed these themes were too natural in Nollywood movies and that there must be some reality. A part of me loved the Christian theme of forgiveness shown by Maureen and sacrificing herself for her husband, but the other part of me realized that no woman can take these two years of constant abuse without a nervous breakdown. Maybe that is what the writer showed in the headaches and the therapy suggestion. But to take two years of physical, mental, and constant psychological abuse would lead to post-traumatic stress, and Maureen took it from everyone in her matrimonial home, mother-in-law, husband, and side chick. PTSD and children?!!! I stopped watching the adult filmmakers because of the constant slapping and screaming and harassment of having a male child. I am happy to see my people acting. I enjoy their theatrical skills, so I haven't given up completely. I really appreciated your comment; women must change the narrative.

This movie is really an interpretation of what 80%of people pass through, is not about watching but understanding every bit of this. 1)average of mothers should learn to be patient and join hands with their daughter in law in helping out how to find solution, encouraging and wait for God's time. 2)most problem people do face, they expect when a lady gets married immediately they should start producing children. 3)and majority of men always putting child bearing problem on the wife without them checking where the problem is coming from. Me I sha like the comeback Awa gave them (mother and son) they deserve that and more since he can not be OK with the one God gave him, too late to come back. Never. Some inlaws are wicked. The wives are always blamed when there are no children in the marriage. See the way the mother inlaw crawled back to ask for forgiveness. With her wicked face. Etinosa 💞💞 is the perfect blend of comedy and drama even in a story such as this she still manages to have an air of humor and this is one of the main reasons she is so beloved... Making people laugh is a gift, being able to laugh at yourself, and not take yourself too serious are great qualities. People who can laugh at themselves are typically more willing to learn from valuable life experiences to better their lives 🙏 Felix is usually a kind, gentle, fair, and easy going guy but he can also play really cruel and demeaning roles... and clearly this is one of them...

Movie producers, please include this in movies. As much as our movies entertain us, they should also educate us. African mothers, will you be happy if your daughters are treated just as badly as you treat your daughter in-laws? Women, do not insist on being where you are not wanted or made to feel loved.
