I have scored 96.6 percentile in Jee Mains 1, which means 3.4 % students are above me. If 12 lac students took the exam my Rank will be around 40,000 , which means 40,000 students are above me. If in JEE mains 2 my percentile remains the same and hypothetically, a completely new set of 40,000 students score more than me and replace the earlier 3.4% set, then a new set of 40,000 students may be above me. As for each student, the best of 2 scores will be taken, will this mean that his rank may drop to 80,000 now ( 40,000 of jee mains 1 + 40,000 of JEE mains 2)? Pls give us an understanding of this.

nope best of 2 scores means scores of only 1 session in which u scored highest therefore your rank will be around 40k only
