Noriyuki Kamikura (the head arranger for this album, who also did a lot of remixing for Falcom's Zanmai albums) pulled some strings at Falcom to get Yukihiro Jindo (who did Felghana, some of the Kiseki series, and Ys Chronicles) and Ryo Yonemitsu (Ys I & II perfect collection and PCE, and Dawn of Ys) to do some work on this album, which is part of the reason it has a Falcom feel to it. The latter did this piece.

i love how this plays for the 4th and 5th stratum's because of how in those stratums your pretty much on a rescue mission and plowing through every thing like a bad ass

First time playing, I had been a bit disappointed by the third stratum. Then this track plays on the 4th land... perfect timing, I could fight to this theme forever x) Being my first time playing an EO game, I REALLY didn't expect the battle theme shift.

Personally, Golden Lair was my favorite stratum; its gimmicks were not only enjoyable and a good way to introduce the concept of damage tiles, but they actually had a reason in the plot for being there. Most every other gimmick was just there because the labyrinth needed some way to support a puzzle. The Sacred Mountains weren't as good, as a whole, but they weren't terrible. My only real complaints was that it felt slow before reaching the Sentinels and that the Boiling Lizard is completely shut down by fire resistance.

Ryo Yonemitsu!! Koshiro going back to old Falcom days by letting him doing the arrangement. Still hoping him would return composing game musics. His works for Falcom games on TurboGrafx/PC Engine CD were amazing.

This was arranged by Ryo Yonemitsu. so I suggest check out his many Falcom arrangements (Ys IV Dawn of Ys, Ys 1+2 PCE, Ys 3 PCE, and some other arrange albums). all on Falcom Music Channel additionally there's some nice synth arrangements of Yuzo Koshiro's Ys 1/2 originals in Ys 1+2 Eternal and Ys 1+2 Complete arrange albums

This song gives me the feeling of a bunch of "kids" finding out the meaning of life. Yet at the end of the lesson, the person giving the sermon is a tyrannical god, Telling them they are coming to the wrong conclusions and that He alone knows the truth. Yet they fight back, stating 'Faith is their pillar." And in the end it turns out they were right all along. Perhaps the god was too bitter and ancient to know the real truth, even if he was Omnipotent.
