I was not ready when I heard this for the first time when I fought blossombeast. I died a few times because my attention was constantly diverted towards this godlike theme. The organ like sections made the bosses even more menacing. The little bit at 2:52 made me lose the plot entirely. It hits so hard, it's unlike anything I've heard in all those hundreds of hours playing EO, and that's saying a lot. On a sidenote: Jesse is like that friend I never got to have. Listening to cool VGM and debating about it. I love it. Keep up the great work my man! Much love!

Yuzo Koshiro's situation is pretty amazing for some of his compositions. He is definitively more of a fan of the retro chipsets for music and likes to experiment with them. He has a channel where not only will he play with past tracks over and over looking for new ways to play them, but will outright tell you how he never liked or wasn't satisfied some beloved tracks; all this as he experiments with other means just to recreate it to his liking (usually as a chiptune composition). Pretty dedicated.

Ah, yes... Etrian Odyssey Nexus, the last Etrian Odyssey on the 3DS. It was a massive love letter to all Etrian Odyssey games up to that point, featuring things from all of them. And yes, this is a boss theme.

Nexus is basically a big crossover celebration that featured tracks and locales from across all of the series prior so i have to imagine the direction of the music went HUGE in order to stand out. Its certainly the most synth heavy of the modern era and many of the tracks feel absolutely grand in scope.

That start is quite grand and overdramatic, I like it. That guitars is heavily distorted, nice and that bass has a good groove to it. I like the chords progressions they sound dope. The crazy little solos are fun. Those drum kicks sounds meaty, I enjoy when that happens. This song keeps amping up throughout; this has lots of classic vgm vibes. I enjoyed this.

if you look up, SMT Strange journey actually took inspiration from the Dungeon mechanics from Etrian odyssey, and Persona Q and Q2 are pretty much cross overs with Etrian odyssey where you have most of EO elements with some of persona in it, personally speaking, EO is the next level of difficulty after SMT, the games are unforgiving and challenging in your levels to adapt, manage resources and plan ahead, and specially, if the enemies can blow you up in no time, you can perfectly do the same in kind

@@HaxeRain makes sense, the team that makes SMT also does EO, and it shows, SMT V took inspiration from EO and allowed to put ailments on bosses.
