It's a good thing the devs have stopped the days infinite regen; this fight would have been a nightmare for Bare otherwise. I was wondering how you'd deal with Wing Shield, but clearly that was the least of her worries.

Bless them for it. Infinite regen is Bare's bane, and Head Bind never seemed to land during Wing Shield when it needed to. Hippogryph is at least kind enough to not act while in Wing Shield. I also appreciate Bind/Ailment immunity is no longer a thing. This truly is my first foray into leveraging Binds to any significant degree and it's a blast!

So I finally made it to this Boss - writing takes a lot out of you - and discovered something...distressing about its rotation. In a situation that is very similar to the Hellion of EO2U, if you deal too much damage to the Hippogryph, specifically enough to pass multiple Sky Dive thresholds at once, it prioritizes the use of Sky Dive. On the very same turn my party dropped its second Wing Shield, it threw out Sky Dive. If it wasn't for Blind that would have been the greatest comeback any boss in this franchise has ever gotten against me. I was certain that breaking the shield also acted as a free stun, because that's what happened earlier in the fight, but perhaps I, in my exhaustion, misread the flow of events. Since that was just a test run, I'll see if it gets replicated in the recording proper. I will say that this method of damage control will be beneficial to those who can't deal with Lightning Storm; it never used it because of the Sky Dive prioritization.

How funny. I wasn't certain Wing Shield could in fact be broken! What a cool boss. I want to say there are a number more other bosses who operate similarly, although I would have to rack my brain as to whom. I have a thought a compilation of Bare meeting her demise in devious ways across the franchise would be a video to behold. I can only treasure those moments as memories however.

Hey, nice work! Also good luck (or congratulations if you have already done it) to beat the 4th stratum boss. I started a Pugilist Therian Granny solo run and now i'm stuck against it. :3

Finally killed it after about 40 tries, oh wow. Also grats for beating the 3rd boss.

Is it just me or does the boss music sound kinda like star wars Just got to that boss on my regular playthrough, hope it won't take me too long to kill...

Good luck! It's a fun battle. The boss music has grown on me immensely, but my brain now associates it with exploding golems.
