Really fabulous. Corps de ballet is really on fire there. What a technique, unisence and attack. Precious filming, no doubt about that.

The level of technical difficulty in this ballet is astounding! And the corps is amazing. I'm obsessed with this ballet. I remember seeing photos of it in dance books, but to be able to see it danced here on KZbin is such a gift. Can't even imagine the amount of stamina this ballet must take! The principals are fantastic.

I have heard from solodancers at The royal danish theatre that balletdancers mostly call this ballet for "the ballet", since it moves from the very first steps to the most advanced flying sequences, put together with rythmic and numbers of very advanced dancers in perfect cooperation at the right size of the stage....so...YES! This IS the very ballet!

I've watched several companies do this just recently on KZbin. Love it. It really is addictive, and I bet hard to pull off. It's a great full company number. I like the music too, and I thought I hated Czerny when I used to have to play him on piano.

ce ballet est un vrai marathon pour les danseurs, mais sans montrer l'effort et avec le sourire ! fantastiques danseurs du l'Opéra de Paris, il me semble avoir aperçu Mathilde Froustey et Myriam Ould Braham mais je ne mettrai pas ma tête à couper là dessus, par contre j'ai bien vu Marie-Agnès Gillot, magnifique !

KNUDÅGE RIISAGER. Let us prise the composer. Today it is 125 years since he was born. He got this splendid idea - to orchestrate for 46 minutes lots and lots and lots of Etudes mainly from one-hand-piano-Etudes to this very, very, very happy and jouyous and complecs ballet. Then he had to work rather hard to convince Haral Lander, the choreographer, to join in and work with him. OH! me og mine. Did they make it at MASTERPICE?

Etudes de Czerny pour le piano que jai pu retrouver ici : Czerny etudes op-299 No 8 - 9 - 10 - 32 -40 il doit y avoir deux autres etudes dans un autre cahier je les mentionnerais si je tombe dessus par hazard ; il y a aussi dans le second cahier des études de Czerny l'op-740 No 49 que l'on retrouve aussi ds le ballet de Lander .

"after Czerny" goes to the inspirational side of the whole work, and SHOULD have been: "Inspired by", then: Ballet by H. L. Can you fix that? I woonder!

T S Riisager j fix that Studies-are for technic of piano 🎹 but certainly the best calamity of all studies-compositions , nothing interesting to listen exercises without melody , without spiritual soul , without only one , only one masterpiece very far from the first Nocturnes of Field l listen one time / ten years ; you understand this ?

Orchestra is often too " forte " at the end then music becomes disorder , a circus " flon-flon " not a classical music

It is quite hard to make the orchestra "see" my grandfathers idea about how the music shall be the inspirational floor for the dancers...and Who wants to tell the world about the very big difference between Tchaikovskij and Knudåge Riisager. I think Russio\an composers are very good, and therefore Etudes, by my grandfar\ther, is so good - since it is a beautyness of contrast to the russian ones 😉
