India has great tourist attractions. India may also be the 4th or 5th largest economy. The greatest drawback is that it is not clean and orderly. People throw garbage all over the place. In cities waste water flows out on to the streets. It makes a big stink. Tourist will not come to dirty disorderly places where garbage and construction materials are strewn all over the place. First fix this issue and India will thrive and attract more Tourists.

Law and order is a serious bottleneck to building a massive tourism industry. Other issues: cities lacking infrastructure, transportation, accommodation. Major parks have no tourist infrastructure like a system of trails. Videos of tourists being harassed in some way are too many, particularly of women travelers. Urban air quality and garbage. Health issues, from poor food handling practices to overuse of antibiotics which results in antimicrobial resistance.

India needs to make more tourism friendly infrastructure. Places around temples and asi heritage sites should be paved, should be regularly cleaned and hawkers/vendors should be banned or regulated. Historic city centres like Old Delhi, Jaipur, Varanasi, Agra, Madurai, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Udaipur, Kanchipuram etc need to be redeveloped with pedestrianisation, removing overhead wires, building facade restoration, similar to what Amritsar achieved in its main street area. Chaotic traffic and noise pollution from honking can be overwhelming for tourists. Main roads in every city need landscaping with clean rows, wide footpaths, trees and orderly traffic.

india get's less tourism than the city of dubai. major reason is scams in every tourist hub and people lacking civil sense, taking innumerable pictures with foreigners with no respect to their personal space and also staring at them constantly. improve these basic things first

First clean the cities and ensure general public has basic civic sense and also ensure cities have good infrastructure , currently India is far behind on all this , forget foreign tourist even Indians don’t want to visit India . Majority of Indians prefer other countries like Thailand , all these discussions are futile

Gas ,water, and toilet are not used in ground level because of it lacks of funds they didn't get the benifits.this is the reality. This basic festivity is very poor. Not important well.this numbers are the jest show of. Not benefiting people 😢. Good public toilets now also a problem in sites and rural areas 😅. Soche Bharath cleaning motion not important well ❤️‍🩹. cleanse is very important over nation 🧹. that is not depends on developed it is dipped on the over people mentality on over country 😞. We need some compaen on this matter and education or awareness🇮🇳💪🙏
