I writing to you to request some assistance. I came to the UK on a student visa in 2022 but quickly changed the visa to apply as a dependant of an EEU member (my uncle). My case and first appeal were denied on the basis of relationship (uncle -nephew) not being as stated by ruling laws of EU settlement and application being made after Brexit deadlines. I reappeared and that was denied also without grounds for reappelling. I would like to consult you on any further steps I can take as I’m desperately trying to get myself sorted. Is this an issue you can help with please?

Hi there, i have applied for EUSS while in the UK as a student but now my student visa isn't valid anymore and i am holding a certificate of application. I have recently done ECS check and it says i have no work restrictions also it says in outcome that i am permitted to work subject to the restrictions in section 4 . Does that mean i can work full time? Please assist sir. Thanks in advance

Just yesterday the courts decided that those with pre-settled status cannot lose rights if they forget or do not change to settled status after they have completed 5 years in the UK. We are in this situation as spouse has pre-settled status granted in 2020 until 2025 and will get settled status after that date or if courts decide against the home office and HO allows settled status after 12 months which is more reasonable.

@@aresmichae The home office has challenged the decision so best to apply for settled status online a month before pre settled expires. Don't take a chance.

Your best legal option is to apply for a job with a Home Office sponsored employer to get a UK work permit. Otherwise you have to wait 5 years for your wife to get settled status - then she can apply for a spouse visa for you.

Dear sir, I am an EU national with pre settled status until 2025 . I have lived outside the UK for one year continuously in year 2021 without any solid reason. So would I got pre settled status again in 2025 ? Because in website gov.uk it is written that the person who lived outside UK more than 6 months after Dec 2020 will not get EUSS again .
