@@saltyyf1802 not really that much of a boost anymore. Naval Leader Maneuver is waaay better. The engadement width at the start of the game is 25, +2 maneuver gives you +20%, so in total you get 30, having 20% more ships than your oponent is a lot better than having your galleys have +15% ca, and it gets better and better as the game goes on. Also having a better naval maneuver admiral gives you a boost to capturing enemy ships chance. So in general the Danish Naval Doctrine helps you BOTH spend less money(by capturing enemy ships) AND win more battles by having more ships in the actual fight, also the -10% admiral cost+ 100 innovativeness+ -25% from the burgers privilage lets you recruit admirals for half the cost, so you spend 2x less diplo mana, have a lot higher navy tradition which means EVEN better admirals, better naval morale (which means even easier naval battles) AND, at 100 navy tradition, +100%(!!!!!) trade steering+Privateer efficiency so you earn A LOT more money

For me, they did nothing but listen to the fans who played Ante Bellum and Mission-Gov Expanded for years and often prefered play with these mod than vanilla. That may be a good DLC, but it will remain bittersweet for me that Paradox makes the fans pay for their own work. By that, I think of the guy who made the Ante Bellum mode and who now work for them.

@Immortal Science of Hauntology That's what I have often said. Every time Paradox touches a mission tree, they feel obligated to make that nation the strongest one in the game. For no reason. One thing that I think might be cool to build into the guide is attacking Lithuania early, maybe around 23:00. I think they could potentially an even BETTER target than England (scottish vassal aside), because of the strategy of using the half cost subject transfer age ability (as the 3rd ability). Obviously does depend on if you can secure the alliance set for it, but I think it has often been worth it to use this age CB. Thanks for the video!

I tried six restarts yesterday and my AI Gotland allied Poland instead of Lithuania each time. I managed to get a war started against Gotland before the JP. But, Poland was still able to ally Lith after the war started and Lith promptly joined - not as a JP. I managed that and sieged down the island, but, they wouldn't peace out. I eventually gave up and did another restart and had to wait quite a while before I could get Gotland. Some great guides and entertaining commentary by our host. I get some great tips and tricks. My favorite game is various hybrid European starts where I expand and stabilize early and then pivot to Exploration and Expansion and make a bee line into the Caribbean through Ivory Coast and SA, through Panama (and next to Panama), across the Pacific into 'Cloves'-land and ANZ - maybe around 1505. The main tactic is firing the Diplo advisor until I get a Colonial Range guy. Then replace Exploration fairly quickly and do more conquest than colonization to gradually build a huge amount of wealth to keep up and catch up back in Europe. I eventually replace Expansion, too. These starts turn into huge empires by the Age of Revolutions and they are very fun. But, I almost never am able to finish my primary objective (which might be all of Mediterranean or whatever) and they're a lot of work with dicey tradeoffs when I am keeping so many troops in SE Asia and ANZ. The planetary movement of 28K armies island hopping back and forth to manage attrition.... No resemblance to reality.

@@akmalfakhruddin7285 There was a king, i forgot his name, who built copenhagen and it became kind of his legacy. Therewhy he switched it to copenhagen for basically no reason. Roskilde and Copenhagen also lie very close to each other, so most people from Copenhagen attend many events and parties in Roskilde and the other way around even though they technically are different cities.

Even thought I LOVE the Mission Tree system, does anyone else randomly just miss the old mission system? I'm not really sure what causes it cause lowkey the old mission system was a bit ass

Deving a subjects province is a double edged sword. Sure, you can use it very rarely to prevent >50% liberty desire and rivals supporting their independence. But it can snowball into making your subject stronger which equals more liberty desire. Imo you should only use it like Hawk did at the start of this guide. Then you should outgrow your subjects by conquest and not dev them. Thats how you get Sweden below 10% for example. And you need your mana for yourself.

I just realised you can no longer do the early independence war as Sweeden, where you took advantaje of the fact denmark fights the once rebel occupied Gotland. Sad

Super big brain move; declare war on Novgorod, give them Swedish cores in Finland, then reconquest the land and take it for yourself before Muscovy goes to war with them again

Why, you still need pay for coring cost, slowing your eastern conquest, and invalidating bonus subject annexation from mission tree rewards. And making Muscovy unnecessarily stronger.
