As a note, I'm sure I could easily push for a Pre 1490 revoke, if I used what I learned and tried again. I would likely save Byzantium + Bulgaria once I was on the last reform, and then swap the religions to get them to join.

So, essentially you got the Emperor to be going in between the Lowlands and Burgundy and changing his mind a ton of times about how the goverment should be structured until he decides that its actually more relevant to demand that the princes should be real subjects of the Emperor

An interesting strategy, it's a little more optimal than regular Austrian gameplay. Not sure if I like it because you do rely on the Burgundian inheritance. That means you need to get a start where Burgundy doesn't rival you and then you also need to get the RNG to inherit them and have Mary fall off her horse. It's possible to get a 1520 revoke with no RNG elements, which is more than fast enough for my taste because the game becomes boring right after anyways. It saves the hassle of going through all the small wars to contain the reformation, so if you have a game where the other pieces already fell into place and you don't want to do all the internal HRE wars then this is a nice alternative.

I think it's the same if you release a vassal afterwards and get them to join the HRE via relations, they just stop taking up a diplo slot and become a HRE vassal. But in general you'd want to wait a bit more to get the vast majority of HRE minors to accept anyway..

I've been playing aroung with this. If you started the elective monarchy stuff earlier on and did it once per 4 years (the election time for the dutch goverment) you'd actually get the full 40 authority per cycle rather than just the 20 you get for everything after the first time of doing it. This is as long as you let 1 day pass between enacting and then switching culture away from dutch. Basically means half the diplo / reform progress per AI. It does mean sitting with everything on half cores for the duration though.

Crazy how some other youtuber managed to start oirat, become emperor, revoke by 1460 or something and then conquer the world in 1482. Shows hwo definitely really balanced the HRE is

@@Hlodolog It depends what is an exploit)) In this case- it’s not. For example: Save-load is exploit? Or game exit? Alt-F4? For me- that way abour IA generating is just well-mechanics knowledge

@@elworro_michlalych It depends, exactly. And your defiition is more fluid than you claim it to be. Though i don't want to get into discussing what paradigms we'll be using. You use several different mechanics to virtually instantly change government forms, culture and emperors to gain far more authority over HRE than would be possible in any other way. I find it fitting that we use the word abuse here.

@@elworro_michlalych An exploit is something you can take advantage of in a way that wasn't intended. This is an exploit. Most exploits require good knowledge of game mechanics, but some are less complicated such as alt+f4 to save scum. However that doesn't make alt+f4 less of an exploit. It doesn't make it less interesting and impressive though.

By passing the reform "Erbkaisertum" it signs a religious peace inside the HRE iirc.

You have to wait 4 years for the for the first event to proc after changing to the dutch monarchy and unpausing. Basically at that ppoint your ruler isn't counted as having ruled for 4 years so no election occurs. I fell afoul of that too.

You now need thousands of admin points to spend on coring all that and why do people try to avoid some parts in a game like the religious wars here, it's a fun part of the game. I consider it like a boss fight and let them get as strong as they can, then I rollover them with my allies. Without it why bother playing, the game gets boring beyond that without some massive events or coalitions.
