This was really fun actually. What you could do in these situations is just make them release everyone, small ones first, don't take too much for yourself, then you can either diplo-vassalize or fight them when the truce is up, that way you wouldn't have to fight the same nation over and over again.

By the way just wanted to point out that hawk skipped the nations of dai viet and kongo since they dont show up the national ideas wiki. Im pretty sure they dont show up because dai viet shares its ideas with two of its releasables and kongo shares them with its two vassals. Never played kongo but dai viet has a surprisingly large amount of unique flavour like 20 unique missions and unique events so it would be cool to see him play it

well there is a super cool, hidden event for Norway regarding colonization of Greenland that allows you to flip Norse religion. I can't remember the exact requirements and it may indeed not happen at all 'cause it has a chance, but it will be cool if, whatever the goal should be, you'll be able to play to meet that chance in the meantime :)) about the goal, I think you should do the achievment Let It Go! or just take England as Harald Hardrada's legacy

As norway do the norse easter egg by either havig bergslagen and a ruler whith the schollar trait as well whith retraint of appeals (to be fired in 50 years), or going on colonization and trying to pop out pagan rebels in u r mainland (so the event of the pagan rebels become norse rebels). this achivemtn got a lot harder over the years basically its reseting time until austria and england rival burgandy but after that its a really fun achivement. if you have a plan is pretty ez the trick is to attack right away and simply take nothing in the first war and keeping austira and england , then you can just beat up brugandy join the HRE and you have a smoot sailing from there. France is basically impossible to get. whats intresting how much harder this got by you waiting for quit some time alle the french vassals had more time developing those meaning way more AE they acutally made the achivement easier back in 1.35 you had to conquer corsica as well wich can be really annoying

Once you load the original save again, it overwrites the backup with the same date. Annoying if you get the timing wrong. I started paying close attention to the date when Alt+F4ing so I know if I need to avoid using the original save again.

In Norway there is the ceremony for the Nobel Peace Price (while all the other are in Sweden). As Norway, you can try to become a Great Power without declaring war using "aggressive" CBs, like base conquest, humiliation or enforce religion (but you are allow to take land in the independence war or declare war for reconquest core). PS: I was thinking to a "only diplo and colonization" run, but i think the video will become too boring and slow, the game too tedious, and the goal too difficult

One of the characteristics of A-Z is to not play Nations that are too similar of Nations that were already played, as too not do too much duplicates That's why half of the Kongo region was entirely skipped. And lets be honest, while Japan itself has differents playstyles and goals achievables, daimyos are litteraly iddentical for the first century of the game beside maybe Usuegi.
