Caravan Power is just a flat bonus to trade power you get from transferring to or away from Inland Trade nodes based on the development in the node. It's pretty poorly implemented but if you have enough of it you can yoink a ton of trade power from an enemy with just a merchant if their main trade node is an inland node.

I hate caravan power. In my Persia game it made most sense to set the Persia trade node (inland) as my main node. But even after conquering all the provinces I had like 50-60% trade power there, because another 50% were combined caravans of countries like Venice, Spain, Ottomans, Russia etc.

@antorseax9492 Жыл бұрын
People just save-scum
@MrBattlecharge Жыл бұрын
The thing about ironman is it has an auto save feature. So in the game you cannot load a previous version, and when you quit it auto saves. There is a loophole to this though, which has been dubbed save-scumming, which works like this : the auto-save feature automatically saves every 3 months, so every two months that progresses you manually save if you like what has happened thus far and if something happens that you don't like, like accidentally declaring war, ruler dies without an heir, lose a critical battle, etc. what you do is pause the game and then alt-f4. Because you force close the software on pause it does not save for you. If you try to alt-f4 while the days are progressing though it will auto-save before exiting. So this way you can essentially create perfect runs to get everything you want. Didn't like the random event that popped up because you lose stability? Save-scum your way out of it. Charles of Burgundy died and chose France instead of you? Save-scum your way into that personal union. While it definitely takes advantage of the fact that you aren't supposed to be able to re-write the history of the game as it unfolds, it does help making some of the harder achievements possible.
@ohNojames Жыл бұрын
Ah I’ve seen people do this while trying to get True heir of Temur. But I didn’t know you could pause the game and override the auto save. Maybe I’ll play Ironman knowing this and try to slowly phase it out, thanks for the answer.

Idk if you know or not but just for anyone who doesn't know what caravan power does basically it is for land trade routes having merchants in a line sending money to one route gives you more trade power down stream so you pull more money from nodes you don't own, you can set up a caravan route by just moving your merchants to each node you want to pull from and even when they move you should still pull some if you have merchants further up the trade line, hard to explain but I hope that makes sense for people. Edit, you have to click where to send with each node and make sure it's going in a line to your mai trade node to get the affect.

For Karaman, since the Sultanate of Rûm is the most obvious path, perhaps you could try to embrace the Persian culture that Rûm adopted from the Seljuks and recreate the old Persian Empire's borders(or just conquer Persia). Either that or defeating the Mongols(since they were what destroyed Rûm in the first place) could be neat ideas.

Can you do a Ming guide? I've seen a bunch of KZbinrs say Ming gets their teeth kicked in every game, but it has to be possible to stay a great power.
@larstruelsen2483 Жыл бұрын
Only AI Ming gets their teeth kicked. Two different disasters can make this happen, either the hordes to the north get too strong (they get 400+ dev iirc) and a scripted disaster that happens when you advance the Mandate of Heaven after the Age of Discovery. Both can be easily mitigated. That said, a guide would be nice telling how to do this. My 2 cents: Avoid any horde bordering you to get 400 dev or ally them to avoid the disaster. In the scripted disaster, your corruption will sky rocket and you will get massive debuffs to your army quality while rebels are spawning. Save up money and manpower before triggering it. 8k ducats and 100k manpower will be plenty. It sounds like alot but remember you start with 1000+ dev and +40 ducats a month in 1444. Ming is unique but the usual applies: Force spawn institutions, keep your subjects happy, build buildings etc.
