EU4: England & France when 'Surrender Maine' happens.

After dosing up on a load of EUIV memes, I received enough inspiration to make my own. After thinking it'll only taking a couple of hours, (I know, how naive of me) it ended up taking three days.
However, I really enjoyed making this and may possibly end up making more in the future, especially if people want to throw any good suggestions my way.

That's one way I imagined how I'd end this video. Loads of countries declaring war on you, including Ming, then seconds later, just explodes with rebel flags. But it seems your game says nay to heading down the historical path lol

Smanicus This is probably because I put Lucky Nations on Random. Brittiany is a decent Colonial power. So is Scotland though Scotland has lost all of its homeland and it's capital is now Mauritius.

I was playing a game as Denmark once. It was around 1470-1480 I had diplo-annexed Holsteen, and taken the entire Livonian order. Then all of a sudden Burgundy decides to attack Lorriene. Lorriene was Provence's vassal and was allied with France so both of them were called into the war, they were also part of the empire so Austria entered the war as a primary ally. Austria then called me (Denmark, with sweden and norway still PU'd) and Pomerania to Lorriene's defense. I obviously accepted. it was the 3 most powerful nations in Europe: Austria, the emperor, France, the big blue blob, and Denmark, Ruler in the north, VS puny Burgundy. What's the worst that could happen? We outnumbered Burgundy 180,000 to 40,000. Victory was certain. THEN THEY FUCKING STEAMROLLED US... I have no idea how they did it but within half a year we had -70 warscore and our massive grand army had been reduced to 50,000 men spread all over the place with no chance of regrouping, all of Jutland had been taken, Paris had fell, my army had been wiped out, and Lorrienne and Copenhagen were under siege. I've never been able to replicate the results, apparently Burgundy just randomly turned into fucking Rambo on us. Needless to say I just quit.

That's really interesting, you should had continued though, you weren't going to lose anything. In fact with how bad the war was going, I would had just retreated back to my cores and let the rest of the alliance burn.

I had already lost my entire army though, and both Sweden and Norway were ready to rebel because they're armies were still standing. So on top of the war I was already fighting I would also be fighting an indepedence war with no army.

Still doesn’t make what you’re saying necessarily correct, although I can see where you’re confused because you’re taking the combination of the single lion of Aquitaine and the 2 lions of Normandy too literally. But the top lion of the three lions is technically supposed to represent England. The idea is that it shows all 3 major realms of the Angevin kings.

just ally all of frances rivals then when the event fires promise land to all your allies have them join the war and then union france under england. i have NEVER lost to france in the surrender of maine event. i have always unioned them.
