You make it look easy, gradual and smooth. I get nervous about a sudden unexpected panic brake scenario, just how quickly you could stop. I have a hard time imagining myself not feeling like I would fall backwards on my behind.

With the pads on the sides of the wheel, the spikes on pedals keeping my shoes in contact, and the forward momentum of the EUC, leaning back or sitting back allows the rider to maintain significant balance while decelerating. I do agree about unexpected scenarios -- it's either an emergency brake or a swerve, either of which maneuvers can save the day (and have many times before). It's why practice matters and not riding above one's skill level in dangerous situations.

Thank you, I'm gonna try grabbing the handle and braking really hard. I think there's enough torque available!

If you want added braking, grab that front handle and pull back 🙌 it will help with emergencies!

I love having that handle. Now I'm curious how fast this thing can stop. Gonna test it on the next dry day. 🙏

@@PurpleRider Very fast, I know if I do that on my v12 it will break traction and chirp the tire, might be better on the extreme having suspension.

@@SaiyanEuc yea I had the same experience with my Nikola+ as you did on your V12. I'll do some more tests/practice on the Begode Extreme and report back 🫡

Your little question? You don't really seem like an offroad wheeler, more of a pure street wheeler. Why did you choose this wheel? Because from all the feedback I've gotten, it excels off-road but doesn't do anything or is it less good than others on the road? Patton, mini or adventure? On the other hand, very clearly the queen of the woods!

1. Size. I wanted to upgrade from the Nikola+ and have the same tire size because portability and space is very important. Most of my trips are in the city so I don't need a cruiser. 2. Suspension. Upgrading from a non-suspension wheel to a nice spring suspension which shouldn't require too much maintenance. 3. Durability/Reliability. It should be able to handle whatever environment throws at it. If it can handle the trails and off-road well, then it should handle the urban environment also. 4. Tire. I'm using a hybrid tire which is good for street riding as opposed to a knobby tire. 5. Battery. Powerful 50S cells give me confidence in its abilities. 6. Motor. High torque motor with plenty of speed so I can do hard accelerations to get around cars and not have to worry about over-leaning or cutting out. 7. Water resistance. Can ride in the rain and other wet Seattle days without having to worry about water ingress or moisture damaging the wheel. 8. LED light. I like the LED on the Nikola+ because it shows when I'm accelerating or decelerating for drivers to know. Even though the Begode Extreme has a smaller LED, it's still functional so drivers have some idea what I'm doing. 9. Speaker. I like having the option to play music. Even though some people might think it's a little obnoxious, it can help to make pedestrians aware of my presence so that they don't step out in front while they jaywalk or go from their car through the bike lane. 10. Brand. I am comfortable with Begode so I wasn't worried about getting accustomed to a new brand. 11. Reviews. Many positive reviews about this wheel from Wrong Way to Ronin. There are other riders in the streets like NYC saying it's an excellent street wheel even though it's marketed as an off road wheel. Check out Ronin Ryder's review on KZbin. He said it's one of the best street wheels. 12. Tire change. Not as difficult as let's say the Commander Mini for changing tire. 13. Customizability. Lots of parts like Grizzla and Clark offering's available for this wheel. 14. Price. Less than $3,000 from reputable dealers. 15. Opportunity to go off-road and do jumps in the future when the weather gets better and I get more skills, due to versatility. Hope that adequately answers your question. ✌🤙🙏
