What you said about how everyone throughout time is there at the eucharist is something I really love. As my World Youth Day mission was coming to a close, one of out leaders said to me "I'm not saying goodbye because I'll see you in the eucharist" and that was one of the moments that really cemented the universality and depth of the sacraments.

Thanks Rob, this is beautifully articulated. It is such a hard think to teach Year 6 students transubstantiation, you nailed it. I wish I had have thought of Dr Who analogy. Top work as always. Thank you and God Bless.

I am sorry to hear about your loss of Fr. Chris. May your friendship extend for all eternity. Thanks for this video. It breaks down some deep theological concepts quite well.

Thank you, Fr. Galea. I watched a few of your videos to see what I could share with a group I am addressing tomorrow for RCIA prep on the Sacraments of Initiation. Your clear presentation and joyful presence is just what is needed. Thank you for your ministry. I will share some of these with my junior and senior theology students. Let us know if you'll be back in the U.S. - east coast! Many blessings to you!

thank you Fr Rob. I was hoping you would also explain why ordination the Catholic priests who can do this validly, why don't Catholic priests do that? I am just wondering, I'm not being smart here. God bless You always Fr Rob.

Father, my parish does not give the eucharist with wine, only the "bread" why?
@lawrence35708 жыл бұрын
Armando Duarte Galán . Its usually done so because it's convenient to distribute the bread alone. Moreover Christ is fully and completely present in both species. 😊

I've just attended a lesson on this -- the official Church preference is that only the bread be provided on most occasions, and the wine reserved for special occasions, or that Communion be served through tincture (the priest dipping the Blessed Host into the wine with Communion received on the tongue). It became popular to serve both during the 1960s, and it kind of got away from the official guidelines, so that parish priests are now advised that if they want to switch back to serving only the bread, they should get permission from the bishop, and explain to the Faithful why they're doing it, so that people don't get upset thinking that they're receiving less. But as Elow Bashena says, Christ is fully and completely present in both species.

The Eucharist actually doesnt become Jesus until the priest says 'this is my body' not during the Epiclesis.

Sean Lee thanks Sean. This is an ancient debate amongst theologians... I stick to what I said in the video.
