I was at Rollag MN this Saturday and had the pure pleasure to be close to a TC12 working, he was pushing huge amounts of scraped soil up a steep hill and it seemed nothing could even slow him down. The dozer itself was in just about showroom condition it was beautiful in every way and not only did it look beautiful THAT SOUND was pure fantasy!

I was born and raised in the hills of eastern Kentucky. Just a quarter mile down the road from the house was a saw mill with a Detroit diesel. I would wait for the school bus every morning and listen to it cutting lumber. You could tell if they were running pine or hardwood by how hard she screamed.

I love to see old tractors and equipment that's been restored. This I love even better when people use them instead of parking them as a show piece after rebuilding them. If you rebuild the tractors to working order than why not use them. If I was financially able to buy and restore some of these awesome old machines I'd put them to work making money. I'd use them as they were meant to be used when built. You can keep machinery nice even if you use them to make money. This is just playing around I know but it's still better than just sitting in a building on display. Beautiful old dozers here. 👍

@tamaralee41083 жыл бұрын
Flash Er : Actually, the turbocharged versions of these engines are even more efficient at creating noise. This is because they are not only louder, but the turbo noise is vastly more annoying, thereby adding an additional factor to overall efficiency. Even more efficient with these engines in the hulls of steel tugboats with no sound insulation, just steel plate surfaces to reflect the noise back. An early pre-digital era form of "surround sound".
