This video just made me order a pair of the s3 pro’s. I’ve been having issues with my S330’s motion detection range as it’s only detecting people up to 7 feet, I thought I was the only one having this issue!

@alex_9-160 the radar makes all the difference. The S3 Pro also makes a heat Map in the app where it learns the most active areas and improves detection even further - you won't be disappointed

Thank you for your analysis, I will go for the S3 Pro. I have a S340 that takes care of 3 sides but I needed one more to do the backside of the house and I want a clearer one for the main gate. Also, one for the neighbors front door as they have a S340 covering the yard. Again, thanks for the review.

thank for a great review / comparison. I'm currently on NEST and and would love to move to these cams but Eufy's support for viewing on a computer browser is not anywhere close to NEST's version. And I would love the ability to view all cameras at the same time live-streaming just like the NEST cams and a few others. Also, itis now November 7th 2024 and I called EUFY and the 24/7 recording is not yet available. The person said a special power cable will be needed and they are not shipping it yet.

Night vision is not bad but I use my S340s as a perimeter look vs anything else. S3 Pro looks like it beats them all at this point.

Many reasons uses more power the ..The 2.4 GHz band offers a longer range and better wall penetration compared to the 5 GHz band used by WiFi 6. Also if a device has the wifi 6 no doubt thw price would be crazy as well .. just have a wire setup using POE for the best option

These channels never show the usability and the functionality of retrieving past the video and how simple and quick it is usually most of these things are very difficult to go back and look at previous recordings and nobody ever discusses that

its a pity I bought the Cam 3 4 pack about 4 months ago. Anyway, i assume if i get an add on S3 Pro I can just add it to my home base and place it where i think I may need the added improvements like the night vision and better detection?

I'm in a dilemma where I need 3 cameras - one for the front and two for the rear, the S3 pro's tick all the boxes for the rear of the house but I'm stumped on what to have for the front - has to be smaller than the two reviewed but trying to keep a decent resolution to keep an eye on my car which will be around 8m away...any suggestions?

Camera's are amazing and better than the s330 in many ways but they do have some issues. First is the night time ghosting. It's horrible with moving objects. If you pause the video on a person, you can't make out who the person is. Looks terrible but live shots are good. Will probably get better with future updates...hopefully. The second issue is the zoom. They claim 8x zoom just like the S330 but Live zoom is only 2x. Yes only 2x. I don't know why but it's probably an update issue but right now with all my firmware up to date, that's what it is. Recorded videos do zoom better but hard to tell if it's 8x since it doesn't say, but it is close. My S330 are still 8x zoom. The third issue is rare but it has a white flashing when camera is triggered by a event. Screen flashes/washes out, 2-3 times and then returns to normal. Eufy's response to this was to turn off "Auto Night Vision". What does that even mean? They couldn't answer that either. Regardless, they are good at returns and trying to help resolve issues.

@fattysgarage1754 I think the ghosting is a big improvement over the s330 cam3 but still needs improvement. Both my s3 Pro's will do x8 Zoom (check for updates) and I've not experienced the white flashing (yet)
