You said his father passed away in 1944 just 3 weeks after the release of The Mask. I believe you mean 1994. (I listened to it 4 times) Well again you have impressed me, Teacher. Thank you. As you can see, I was listening. I remember Jim on "Living colors. Oh my what characters did he play. I don't know who I laughed harder at, Jim, Or Robin Williams. My Favorite Jim Carry movie had to be Liar. Liar. That one always makes me smile, because he trying to do his best for his boy. No matter what happened. Any way Thank you Brad for again being a good teacher. I never get tired of listening to your stories. 😁

I'm really not a Hollywood movie buff but I am somewhat familiar with Jim Carry so I was curious enough to listen to your rest of the rest of the story. I think he gained some good wisdom from his father's life experiences, which no doubt contributed to his success. I appreciated your thoughts at the end on recognizing the signs of depression and getting treatment for it. i suffered from depression when I was in my early 20s and was encourage to see a therapist, which really helped at the time. Later, I gave my heart to the Lord and He has been my ever-present help in time of need.

I’m glad you found help. Many people who seem outwardly happy are struggling. Hopefully, they’ll find brighter days ahead. :)

I used to LOVE watching Jim on 'In Living Color', he made me laugh out loud, long, and hard! I understand him doing stand up comedy without a rehearsed script, using whatever comes to mind. That takes an incredibly upbeat personality to pull off, and he always did it brilliantly! I absolutely LOVED 'Mask' and 'Liar, Liar'. I understand everything about following your passion, your dreams. I just wish everything inside of me that made me happy didn't die at such a young age. I don't think I've ever given living a chance, for the most part, I just exist. It's miserable, I think it's all about untreated depression. I recognized five out of the eight symptoms described in myself. I'm kind of amazed I'm still here.

You’re among friends here. Depression is absolutely real. Just try to enjoy the small things in life. If you need it please talk to someone about it. :)

A very interesting story, Brad. I believe "The Mask" was my intro to Jim Carey. I fell in love with his zaniness in front of the camera! However! The advice you gave at the end of this video helped ease the pain that the video brought to me, when I discovered that I am now 50 years older than I believed myself to be. :( (The Mask was released in 1994)🤔 It's all fun anyhow, isn't it? Thanks, Brad.🤭

I knew a lot about Jim Carrey's rise to fame, but I didn't know his middle name was Eugene until now, so it threw me off. Only when Paul Harvey mentioned The Mask did I get it.

I was hoping to hear that too. He spoke out about faith in Jesus Christ and how He has changed his life. However, I did enjoy the video. I'm so glad that Jim seems to have found peace and hope managing and overcoming many obstacles.
