while im sure someone else has already said it, i am gonna just say it too. The reason Eugeo couldn't get up wasn't so much he was afraid..... he is a soul that lives in a computer based world. The ERROR is the rules of the world telling him he most obey the TABOO index... his decision to do what he did is his soul "breaking that seal" and making a decision for it's self. The inner strength to go against what the world tells you to do..

That scene was definitely censored. A few things were cut out from the Japanese version. Also, idk if you forgot, but the whole reason for making those A.I's is to use them as weapons in war. There's also a lot that is cut out from the novel about breaking the seal which makes things make sense later but I'm sure it won't be anything too big (maybe a little confusing).

When I reached this and similar parts in the light novels, I always skimmed over them.

They even add a warning label at the beginning of the episode in japanese version.

Later episodes would go into detail about Eugeo's "hesitation" to do what would be the right thing, but it should be noted that Eugeo wasn't willingly listening to Raios (and for that matter, Tiese and Ronye more than likely wouldn't have ended up in the state they did for similar reasons), but rather he was forced to by specific programming. Also, this episode of note was so shocking that even Reki Kawahara, the series' creator, was taken aback by how far A1 Pictures went for the adaptation of the light novel.

The AI's in the Underworld physically can not break the law. They feel excruciating pain if they try and if they do it, their eyes explode. Everything these 2 asses did is actually in accordance with the pontifexes Taboo Index. That's why Eugeo took so long to act

Man, Eugeo's voice actor is really good. I get chills every time I hear his scream. I know It's a different voice actor, but someone told me that he sounds like Light Yagami here and now that's all I hear.

your right Suzy, there was something missing in that seen. I saw this episode when it first showed and it was longer and more graphic because of this they cut out and lowered the quality on some of the scenes for rerelease, DVD sales, and showings on platforms like Crunchyroll and Funimation and even added a viewer discretion warning at the beginning.

I believe if memory serves, they had to remove parts of the episode because after it originally aired there was a ton of backlash that resulted in a temporary stop of episodes being released until they agreed to change it.

You got it wrong. The flaw in the law is the imperial law - basically that they can punish the ones below them if they do something wrong without any consequences. And punishment can be done by any means. So, not just sexual harassment or rape, it also means they could've wipped the girls or punched them. That's the flaw in the taboo index. And going against someone that is punishing someone else, breached the taboo index, another flaw. The real world also has flaws, too. Such as self-defence laws.
