EUIV Trebizond (Komnenoi Empire) Episode 1 - I HAVE A BAD FEELING ABOUT THIS

Always love finding a new small EU4 channel! Don't know if you achieve it in future episodes, but in the few times I've restarted in 1.37 (eventually getting the achievement, by like 1550), with some diplo rep and improving relations you can usually ally the Mamluks (by taking advantage of the new "Heathen Royal Marriage" feature that's available to Trebizond). Excellent help in defending against the Ottomans and fighting QQ etc.

Hey thank you for finding me Dylan and welcome!!! Yea the number of times I had to restart this campaign was incredible, and the Heathen Royal Marriage is sooooo powerful I love it!! Honestly I love playing Trebizond even when it had a generic tree. It’s mostly that they’re the Komnenoi, and I always want to restore the Byzantine Empire as them 😃

@@Rantius Small challenging starts are my favourite in any Paradox game, but especially EU4. The very early game is definitely better than the mid/late game. Got to say that my favourite candidate for Byzantine restoration is Montferrat though.

@@DylanSargesson You and I are a cut from the same cloth my friend! I've restored the Byzantines as Montferrat as well! It's really fun and I love the little hidden flavor in doing so. They're in a great starting location as well. With this playthrough, I think I may try another strat and see how that works. While the mission tree helps, I have a tendency of trying to constantly make it more effective. Especially now having a growing viewer base.

It's ok!! They can't because most of their staff are working on EUV and EUIV is reaching the end!!!....wait they'll add it in EUV...ohhhhhhno....*insert Anakin's "what have I done?" moment here*

Furnaces already exist as the Manufactory building for the late-game trade good Coal. They're overpowered with each Furnace giving you +5% Goods Produced nationally.

Now hopefully when we get to building them they won’t explode left right and center! They’re an incredible building and I’m a sucker for production efficiency hahaha
