Your videos are absolutely amazing! Of all the A Level biology KZbin videos I find yours stand out above them all - the mentioning of exam technique (we all know how specific the biology ms is) is so useful, and the few questions at the end - honestly the best! I’ve also applied for biological sciences at uni and your videos will massively help me to get that A/A*! Thank you so much :)

hey! just a tip, you shojuld buy a graphics / drawing tablet with which you can write and annotate things on the work board way easier than a mouse. a mouse is very hard to write / draw with. if you don't want to buy a graphics tablet you can try turning down the dpi (sensitivity) of your mouse to a very low one with which you can write with much more accuracy, avoiding mistakes.

Haha I do actually own a graphics tablet now, this was made before I had one though! Thanks for the tip :)

Hi your vids are so use-full But do both of the ER contain a single phospholipid bilayer or does the smooth one only contain it and also how do the 2 different ER interact with one and other and with other organelles in cell. Thanks

Hi, when you mentioned that the dna of a prokaryotic is a single circular molecule and not associated with protein, what do you mean by this?
@AlevelBiologyHelp2 жыл бұрын
Hi, this means that DNA in prokaryotic cells is not bound to proteins called histones (that is A2 content). And eukaryotic DNA is a linear double helix whilst prokaryotic DNA is a circular double helix. Hope this helps

hii amazing vid but did u mention vesicles?? i didnt hear much on it and dont know if its required knowledge lol
@AlevelBiologyHelp Жыл бұрын
In the exam if you're told to describe the action of a lysosome, you would say that they fuse with a vesicle (which is what contains an engulfed foreign substance/pathogen) and release lysozyme (examiner prefers "hydrolytic enzyme" - you would still get a mark for putting lysozyme).

Do we need to know about the capsule relating to the virulence factor?
@AlevelBiologyHelp4 жыл бұрын
Hi! You don't need to know about the capsule relating to the virulence factor for AQA A Level. Watch my "Cell recognition and Immune system" video to see what you need to know :)
