Hi friends, since a lot of you asked about different movements of this, I figured I'll compile the whole suite into 1 video. Enjoy!

Of course its perfectly performed but something is lost when a melody that travels through different instruments in a full band composition is now played by the same instrument in the whole song.

I've ALWAYS Loved these Holst pieces, this one being in my top two of all time. I love playing them and I love listening to them. This is fantastic. And having the score is a great bonus. Brings back the memories of each and every place I had to put in extra work to make a phrase come out right, etc. Love these videos! Never stop!

Using this arrangement of mvt. 1 as a submission for my scholarship in the future lol. So far only have the 6/8 part to memorize and I’ll be set to practice it for the next year and a half

Is there any possibilities of anybody making an euphonium / tuba ensemble arrangement of Holst 1st suite in Eb and you to make video of you playing it :)
@Matonizz4 жыл бұрын
It's being arranged right now, coming out either later this month or first half of next month :)

I didn't know there was a download link, so I scored it from the video and had 6 trumpet players play it the other day. (I'm Japanese, and I'm one of the six.) It turned out surprisingly well, so give it a try next time if you are so inclined.

I’m In 8th grade I’ve been in band since 6th grade and I started out as a Baritone In 6th grade In 7th grade I switched to a 4 valved Euphonium and I just confirmed that I’m being a Tuba witch I’m really excited for cause I wanted it since 6th grade I really like it because it’s like I went on a Journey from Baritone to Euphonium to now Tuba its really cool and trust me if your “bad” at band you’ll get better if you put in the work I was trash in 6th grade And I just improved in 7th grade band is really fun

Thanks for putting them all together 😊 Any chance you could do that for the treble clef version please?
@Matonizz4 жыл бұрын
All the parts (even tuba) are available for download in both treble and bass clef at patreon.com/matonizz. I always try to put both clefs on screen but since this had too many parts to fit I went with bass since vast majority of players read it. Hope that makes sense :)
@brasschick42144 жыл бұрын
Matonizz Yes, I have access to it thanks. I understand you go with the masses- just asking. I’m being lazy though- I really should learn bass clef 😂 Although I do believe that using (transposing) treble clef is the ‘best’ because there is less need for ledger lines in the writing and so easier to read.

I'm not sure if you've done this, but doing melody shop would be veryy nice
@kieranhooper42274 жыл бұрын
Spunds great mate. When recording, do you lay down the first track and play to that, or do you play all tracks just to a metronome and then piece together in production?
@Matonizz4 жыл бұрын
I record with a click track rather than layered tracks :)
@kieranhooper42274 жыл бұрын
Matonizz awesome. If you ever fancy recording the 1st Euph part to the duet ‘timepiece’ let me know 😂😂

Anyone else get a little pain with tuba 2 being in front of tuba 1? Maybe it was just my OCD kicking in... 😂. Lovely piece! Idk if this one or First Suite in Eb is my favorite, I love them both so much.
@brasschick42144 жыл бұрын
Martin Miller I just think of them being in mirror image order. 1st tuba and 1st Euph as section leaders sitting next to each other.
@Matonizz4 жыл бұрын
I only did it because it was looking a bit weird with one tuba in the middle looking into different direction :D

Отлично, но такое количество широкомензурных теряеся в хорале.А именно: из за близкого диапазона и фактуры туб и баритонов.Средние голоса смешиваются в кашу.И это отнюдь не недостаток исполнителей, а особенности широкой мензуры.
