A little info: This bus/route is not operated by BVG directly, but by their subcontractor "Schröder Reisen", a tour operator from the South of Germany, hence the buses being registered with licence plates from the district of Ulm (UL). The company won the tender for a route package on behalf of BVG last year, but it was all very short notice and they weren't ready for it...they had to scrape together a fleet of used buses from all over the country until the new ones like this MAN arrived just weeks ago. They also caught a lot of flack for their service so far, drivers unfamiliar with the route, massive delays and the state of the second hand vehicles not up to BVG standard, no signage, no passenger information displays and so on. A couple more route packages are also operated by other subcontractors like BVB, DB Regio Bus Ost (a subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn) and even the Berlin Taxicab association, which operates some low-volume and night routes with Mercedes Sprinter vans!

An absolutely wonderful video, with lots of 'transport interest'. I had to stop and rerun the video at Sudkreuz. Wow! a steamtrain in 2023 running nonstop through one of Germany's most modern stations! (All scheduled IC(E) trains stop at Sudkreuz.) Then there was the elevated section of the U-Bahn at Nollerndorfplatz - a line which closed in 1961, but was resurrected after the Wall came tumbling down. Then there are policemen directing traffic at Grosser Stern - how often do we see that in the 21st century? Finally the last section to Seestrasse showed a section of tram route in the old 'West' Berlin revived after long disuse by extending the 'East' trams from Bornholmer Strasse. (West Berlin scrapped trams in 1964.)

Auch schön zu sehen, mit welchen Idioten die Busfahrer zu tun haben, besonders der Typ ab 49:09. Dann fotografiert er noch das Kennzeichen des Busses, offenbar ohne zu erkennen, dass sein komplettes Fehlverhalten selbst aufgezeichnet wurde. Einfach herrlich! 😂🤣 Er ist ein starkes Beispiel dafür, wie schwierig es sein dürfte, ihm den Führerschien wegzunehmen. 😆

This is indeed a great video. I think the Toyota driver near the end of the video who took a picture on his phone may have a case in re. To the bus driver beeping his horn; as the car had to move into the right lane 100 metres away anyhow. I believe the bus driver should have recognized the traffic situation up ahead. 😊

You can see how the Toyata driver drives into the bus lane and brakes in the bus lane, he shouldn't have gone any further, I think the bus driver acted confidently and avoided an accident with the black car (you don't drive up in the bus lane and brake ab ) if the accident had happened, the toyata driver would have had no chance. anyway very nice video.
