I had visited Southend many times when I lived in East London, but never went to Shoeburyness - so, it was very interesting to cover new ground. We always travelled from Liverpool Street to Southend, but if memory serves me right, if you used Fenchurch Street Station in London that line went to Shoeburyness.

ty Eurasia if I remember right left about five minutes left along the beach from the buses parked at Shoeburyness there is a classified base & a caravan & camping site virtually next to each other.

I've lost count of the number of "road works " like this I've seen 4:40 . The work was probably finnished weeks ago, but no one has swept up and removed the cones and stop lights . So traffic is held up wasting peoples time, engines ticking over burning fuel and making fumes.
