These in my opinion were the final decent Eureka vacuum cleaners made. They were good for budgets! These were also popular at one time, wonderful job!

Even with their cheapness, I do believe this was the last good Eureka that was sold.

Hell yeah! October 2010 and it's still running well with minor issues in the hose!

I think I bought mine in 1999.. Still works fine with all atttachments intact and seems well engineered for a $129 vacuum cleaner. Suck it, Dyson. ;)

As absurd as this sounds, I actually kinda like this machine. Not the airspeed exact or any of the other models that came after, but the original is not bad. It uses the dial style air path instead of it being routed through the hose, something no budget bagless machines do anymore, and the brushrolls on the ones I’ve seen are fairly stiff. Sure, the cyclone design is not great, but you could do way worse.

I very much agree

I LOVE the AS1000 model. Best model Eureka ever made. Dyson is so overrated.

9:04 Yeah, like kathistretzinger9646 said a few months back, putting the canister back together is a mental wrestling match. You'd think Eureka would have thought to indicate the exact position the cyclone part should be in for everything to fit correctly, so owners wouldn't go through so much trial-and-error. (I just got an AS1000 of my own two days ago; the previous owner thought it lost suction, but apparently didn't check the hose, which had some popcorn and even a Sharpie marker in it!)

What did you do at 9:45? I can't get it back on, and you're off screen, and the manual is no help.

I have that same model, and never let it get that clogged or dirty. I keep up with the maintenance. A couple days ago, as I was using it, the power suddenly cut out. I checked everything you showed, and everything seemed OK. But, when I press on the power pedal there is no CLICK sound. I'm thinking the switch is bad, or the motor is dead. It might be beyond my ability to fix that. Is it just time for me to get a new vac, as this one lasted me 9+ years?
@IntellitechStudios2 жыл бұрын
Could be the switch. It's up to you. If you Decide to replace it I can help you pick out a new one

@@IntellitechStudios Thanks. I picked up a Eureka UHE180 today, but haven't put it together yet. Your review of it seemed good. I hope it picks up on bare floor. My place is small.
