He's right though, in most passenger cars air can enter through the front grill but once inside the engine bay it has nowhere to go, its only real option is to build up underneath the hood and start lifting the front end of the car up, which would cause the steering to feel light and disconnected. Thats what he means by "i can feel it in the wheel", a fix for this would be to have vents for air to be able to escape either in the fender or on the hood

I did something similar last year in Nebraska while driving to PA from CA. The winds from the north were pushing my old Yukon damn near off the highway as I was heading east, and my pitman and idler arms were in rough shape at the time.
