England fans let loose in wild celebrations after the country beat Denmark to secure a place in the first major tournament final since 1966.
A group of fans climbed on top of a double decker bus in Piccadilly Circus as crowds gathered around them with flares chanting in joy.
On the final whistle, 65,000 fans in Wembley and tens of millions watching on television erupted in an outpouring of collective hysteria, fuelled by millions of pints of beer - and sheer relief.
