{Euro 4} ADL E400 Trident Voith | Stagecoach EM 19296 (AE07 KYW) | Full Kickdown from 0-57mph

This is Stagecoach East Midlands' 19296, an Ex Cambridge Park & Ride Enviro 400 Trident with a Voith gearbox, taken from 0 - 57mph on a long stretch down Linconshire! This one's a musical motor, with the axles and gearbox singing in harmony at high revs & high speed. The cooling fan is also at work in this clip, as a result of the constant demand for the engine to work its hardest which you will notice when watching the full video! It does sound sick with the cooling fan on and it's definitely one of the best of it's type that I've been on!

What a beast! You sure do get the best runs possible out of buses. A shame there’s no more Voith Tridents in my local area after Cheshire West Council got Stagecoach in trouble for it. Glad to see they’re still pulling strong elsewhere!

I try! How come they got in trouble? Were they too loud or something? And yeah it’s the same thing here, there were only a number of Voith E400 Trident batches in London, and they’d been withdrawn from service like 5+ years ago! 🥲

@@Frozzles I believe all of their buses now have to be younger than 12 years old after a B7RLE went past with a blown exhaust and blew smoke on camera during a BBC TV report a few years ago. In addition to this, I wonder why there’s still ex-London LX58 Enviro200s still going if this rule came into place…

​​@@welshbusenthusiast2210 This rule must be exclusive to Cheshire and certain other areas. Down here in Exeter we still have an 06 plate Darts and E400 trident's strolling about. Our newest buses are 5 years old now lol. Sounds like a stupid rule though, like just maintain your buses better. I think it's 15-16 years in London, a lot of E200 darts are being withdrawn now like the ex-P4 fleet.

Birmingham has alx400s but they don’t sound like before maybe they modified it

Yeah they've modified the exhausts on some of them to Euro 6, e.g. the ones on the 97

Probally due to euro 6 modifications. They did the same to a lot of the gemins.
