Euro NCAP performs a series of safety tests focusing on the crash avoidance technologies of light commercial vehicles.
Active safety is tested based on the van’s equipment: Autonomous Emergency Braking Systems (Car-to-Car, Pedestrian, and Cyclist scenarios), lane support and speed assist technologies, and Occupant Status Monitoring (Attention Assist and Seatbelt Reminders).
Tested here is the VW ID.Buzz Cargo - 150 kW (77 kWh) RWD.
The Volkswagen ID.Buzz Cargo was introduced in 2022 as an all-electric small panel van. Closely related to its passenger-carrying version, and sharing the same ADAS technology, the ID.Buzz Cargo comes with autonomous emergency braking, and much else, as standard equipment. In Euro NCAP's tests, this safety technology demostrated impressive results and the ID.Buzz emerges with a well-derserved Platinum award.
