Euro NCAP Crash & Safety Tests of Mercedes-Benz CLA - 2019 - Best in Class - Small Family Car

Euro NCAP performs a series of crash and safety tests on car models:
- a frontal impact test, the car impacts a rigid barrier
- an offset frontal impact test, 40% of the width of the car is striking a deformable barrier
- a pole test, the tested car is propelled sideways into a rigid pole
- a side impact test, a mobile deformable barrier impacts the driver's door.
A series of pedestrian tests are conducted with different impactors, adult and child head form, lower and upper leg form and whiplash tests are performed on a sled.
Active safety is tested based on the car’s equipment: autonomous emergency braking systems (car to car, with a pedestrian and a cyclist target), lane support and speed assist technologies and seatbelt reminders. Here the results are based on the A-Class assessed earlier this year.

The windshield didn't shatter. Just like the windshield of the XC60 2017. It didn't even move. Easy task. Amazing cars. In terms of safety Volvo and Mercedes are the best so far. No doubts about that. Everyone says that and tests conducted by EURO NCAP AND AMERICAN INSTITUTE FOR SAFETY- IIHS - prove it.

I guess the 75% score for the safety tech would be boosted on models with the optional driver assistance pack with blind spot, and lane piloting, emergency brake assistance and some special pre-crash passenger preparation. But still the safest car on ENCAP?

its been decades i wonder when Euro NCAP will increase the speed in their test. same usual tests with same speed for years and years and they all get 5 star so whats the point,are those cars death proof which they not and why from like 15 tests you always only show 5-6 of them.

Most non-car nerds don't know that a lot of the safety systems we take for granted where invented by Mercedes Benz. Crumple zones, airbags, electronic traction/stability control, anti-lock brakes...all Mercedes Benz inventions. They make very safe cars.

This Mercedes is not the safest car tested by Euro NCAP. The safest car till today remains Volvo XC60 2017. The Safest car (SUV) ever tested so far in the history of Euro NCAP is the Volvo XC60 II ( second generation) model year 2017! Adult protection - 98% Child protection - 89% Safety assist - 95% Pedestrian - 76%

Idk my mercedes cls 2015 breaked hard and tightened my seatbealt when a car infront of me suddenly pushed the break and i wasnt paying attention,if it wasnt for the presafe break system im 100% i would have rear ended him,so it works on a 2015 let alone a 2019 mercedes it should be even better and standard
