Wow that combined act of pinching the line against the net to establish a somewhat taunt connection, while also safely suspending the fish in the water acts to calm the fish. Thats such a great way. Thanks for sharing Josh.

Truer words were never spoken. A two fly rig will get tangled. Thanks for great tip. Really liked talking with you when you worked at International Angler.

Keeping slack out of the net helps a lot for me. As soon as the fish slides over the rim of the net I tighten up even more to try and keep that upper tag out. But like someone else said, when they take the tag it's trouble. Especially those little guys that vibrate like tiny jackhammers. Combine that with light tippet and a weighted point fly and the font of curse words is opened full throttle. Seriously, I love your videos and will look for your book.

Do you adjust your rig to avoid tangles, such as increasing the distance between the dropper and point flies? Also, I find that tangles happen more often when I land a fish on my tag fly, as the fish is hinged higher up on the line and has a tendency to flop around and get wrapped easier. Thanks for the video, and I appreciate the premise, but aside from watching you slay fish, the core content was lacking.

I must be one of the few guys who tries not to touch the fish at all. Therefore I have few pics, haha. Once the fish is in my net I reach for my forceps and jiggle the fly out, and fish swims free.
