I think both games are valid on their own: ETS is more customizable thanks to mods, and the official licences trucks and trailers, but it requires a pc to be played, while TOE, despite being unlicenced, is a free alternative and, most important, is playable wherever you are because is a mobile game

Imagine how much they can do with ToE3 if it's a fully-fledged paid PC game. ETS2 is made with SCS Software's in-house game engine, which they've been using ever since the first 18 Wheels of Steel was released - yes, Prism3D is 22 years old at the point, it's really impressive how much SCS has been pushing this piece of fossil, adding all sorts of modern technologies to it while keeping the system requirement _relatively_ low. There were rumors that SCS wanted to transplant ETS2 to Unreal Engine 4, but I guess we all know that's not gonna happen at this point.

I love the water puddles on the road when its raining on TOE, they even reflect to give it more realism. I so wish SCS could copy something or two from this game or a mod then.

Yeah, scs needs to make the rain more realistic. u don't see rain streaming down like in real life. It's too cartoonie in the game. It's OK if you're still, but when moving, the rain stays the same. I wonder if the scs team have actually drove in the rain

if only toe3 had a map a little similar to ets2 we would talk about it more even if the graphics were exploded in my opinion because toe3 lacks a lot of things especially the cities

Have you played the new map called Gottard Pass? It was based on real life and is available in TOE3. I highly recommend you check it out. It's very realistic, just like ETS2.

Ets 2 is with no doubt the best pc truck simulator game while on the other hand toe3 is by far the best android/ios truck simulator game.
