I've got a problem; whatever i put on the sides of the truck also appears on both of the passenger side rear fenders (more specifically, volvo fh 4th gen with a 6x4 chassis with fully painted fenders) for some reason the rear fenders are considered a part of the cab's side panels..?? makes no senseand it's making me mad, i wonder if there's some kind of a solution for this :( Other than that it works, great tutorial so thanks for that! :)

Great video. So once the paint job is completed i'm assuming you need to start from scratch every time a new version of the game comes out how does that part work but surely you don't need to re do everything every time theirs a update.

You can use paint 3D to but in 2D mode when designing.

That's a new one on me. I would have thought the only time a dlc would be required is if you used an asset associated with that dlc

You should have an ets2 folder in your my documents folder - if not create & save a game quickly should create it - within this create a folder called mod and put any skins you create inside it - hope this helps

This is so confusing, I've made my mod for "Scania S 8x4" and all works great until I upload another mod "Scania S" the "Scania S 8x4" then uses the "Scania S" skin and the skin for the "Scania S Truck" vanishes. I've chosen only cabs for the relevant skins in the mods studio 2. Any help appreciated.

If you are using the latest version of mod studio I would suggest trying an older version as I have heard of some issues with later versions

Yep, same here. Even though the image was precisely 276x162 as require for the mod icon. The stupid program eventually accepted the same image when I saved it as another format.

I seem to be having an issue doing this. I do the skin and export it, however after enabling it in game and going into the workshop the skin mostly appears white on the front, left and right side of the truck and even though it is a metallic paint job only the right side could be coloured.

A couple of people have reported the same issue - the most common solutions are - Check that the image fully flattened when making the png as some programs arent doing it and also check the size of the graphic didnt change

glad you got it sorted - sounds like the issue you are having is that its probably showing up for a different truck - had that issue myself when i started

that i do not know - ive only ever used the in game trucks and believe they are the only one supported by mod studio - maybe have a look at the mod studio forums and see if there is any information there

Thanks this is your first video I have watched, I just got the game and want to find out the best way to utilise my time at the start to make money and understand what is going on as-well. I started the game earlier, but a starter truck of my own is over 100,000e and i am pulling in average of 5,000e per run. So I will have to run at least 20 missions before I can buy the very first truck. Should I get the bank loan to start with and buy my own truck rather than renting one? I will be in debt but imagine that once paid off I will be earning good money. Isit quicker to just do the long way or get the loan? sorry for the questions. I enjoyed the video too, looks really cool, but I am not ready for this yet! I am still trying to get started. I have done 3 runs and have about 16,000e. I see guides saying about drivers, and I also saw thumbnails of people in buses too. Looks like a good business opportunity carting people about on holidays. Anyway I appreciate any advice you can give me as a newcomer to the game. Thank you

Hi mate - can understand the dilemma at the start - i kind of do a mixture of both - i will do about 10 runs as a driver and then get a loan to get a truck, but then you pay the loan back as quick as you can. Its stood me in good stead doing it that way and can usually pay the loan back fairly quickly. The buses you see people driving are mods they have added to the game, and there is some amazing mods for the game, but just be wary about adding too many as they do eventually impact the speed of the game. I havent touched the game myself for a while due to covering so many other games on the channels but if you would like to join our discord I would highly recommend you speak with Parkera as he is a massive devotee of the game. @@RedEventGames Thanks for the reply I really appreciate it. I am toying with idea of using a second profile, and trying the loan route with one to compare the two choices. I restarted last night anyway because I didn't realise but when my GF got me the game, it was a bundle that had some additional content, So rather than driving around Cardiff and the UK where I am from, I thought why not go somewhere else to see the sights, so I started in Italy. I've been investing my points into long distance, mainly because I just want to see the European countries. I don't have a wheel either, I have an Xbox controller, but my GF plays the Xbox a lot so I'm using kb/mouse but I imagine with a half decent wheel and pedals this game would be amazing. I also joined a Facebook ETS2 community group so I can ask questions and hopefully get advice when needed. I can't wait to get my truck and start customising it. I checked your channel and other videos too, you are a massively underrated content creator in terms of the amount of content you put out and the quality of the videos, keep it up mate and thank you!

There's one I can afford at about 35,000 but is there any point in buying a trailer before I have a truck of my own? I mean is there any real benefit to doing this or would you recommend just keep saving for the truck?

Truck first and then trailers - and i wouldnt do trailers to soon as of course you can only carry cargo that fits into the one thats attached to your truck otherwise you have to leave it somewhere. And thanks for the comments about the channel - i still count myself as a novice in this game, I just love doing it. And you say you live near Cardiff - where about? I used to live in Pontypridd till I moved to the Isle of Wight 3 1/2 years ago.

I used to work in and around Ponty years ago, just off the motorway was a motorbike dealership, across the road was a quarry with industrial workplaces there like car scrap yards etc. I worked in refrigeration and the company's main office was there so I had to drive up there every morning to get me list of jobs. Without knowing an specific error message the first things i would check are that the graphic size was not altered during the process (some programs have been changing it) and also that the image was properly flattened into 1 layer. Also some people have been having issues with some of the later version of the studio program and have found that by using as older version their issues have been resolved
