Hi Peter , another fantastic review with good comparisons between the Norwegian and portugeuse models , the issue with light leakage seems to be only a minor issue and does not really detract from the high detail of the model . some nice updates on the Iberian model

Great review. I have also bought the CargoNet model. I ran it analog for a couple of weeks, but today I retrofitted the ESU decoder with sounds. It is very nice, but there is a lot of light leakage into the cabin from the headlights, I notice. I suspect it it possible to paint the clear plastic to prevent it from happening.

Iam, i inspected both of my models and interestingly ... i can not turn completely OFF cab light in the cargonet model. The Comsa model - newer - the cab lights function F8 is working 100% OFF/ON but in Cargonet both cab lights are only dimming. I updated decoder software and re loaded the entire package. I cant find anything wrong with the functions and outputs settings using LokProgrammer either.The cab light in Cargonet is ON (dimmed) the moment I activate headlights F0 but there is nothing in programming indicating this type of dependency between headlights and cab lights. I think is the locomotive circuit board but, I will contact Sudexperess and keep you posted. All best Peter

... i contacted Sudexpress. The PCB /board in the Cargonet model was damaged (used model from Ebay). I received new board within two weeks.

Hi Peter, it´s not a headlight leaking, but the cab light that is on when you press the "normal light" *. If you are using ESU decoders you must assign the function of cab light, to work only when you press F1,2 or 3 or another function you want. And you can also dim the cab light with a new configuration of the decoder. I hope this helps.

Very prety and high detailed locomotive.The COMSA livery for me is marvelous on this particular loco.Too bad its for Iberian gauge.As for the headlight yea this is a problem..I can see the cab light up even in bright light.. A masking tape inside will solve the problem sometimes.
