Awesome aircraft. The climb rate is indescribable. I was driving home from the coast across the East Yorkshire Wolds last year and I heard this loud whine/rumble. It was a Typhoon and it swooped low over my car, did some crazy barrel roles then did a vertical climb and was gone in about 6 seconds. Probably using my car as target practice, thanks for not pulling the trigger & maximum respect for being able to fly such an awesome machine.

Very maneuverable plane and amazing looking. I have mad respect for this aircraft and the pilot flying it.
@ronkreed He's flying with a fully laden aircraft. He's carrying full external fuel tanks, bombs and missiles. All 13 hardpoints are being used and aircraft is at maximum weight. No other fighter aircraft at Farnborough did that. Amazing agility considering the load.

I have to laugh when I see rude comments on vids that have no reason for confrontation. Do some of you people just go through KZbin looking to make silly a** comments. I for one can admire the skills this man or woman has. I can't even imagine taking off, going vertical and doing a roll all within seconds of each other. Amazing. It's not easy for these pilots at certain points to know if they are upright or upside down. Leave your rude comments and admire some bravery and skills for once.

@ronkreed Yeah Farnborough is the premier airshow of all the airshows that take place in the UK. It attracts the latest aircraft from all over the planet, civil as well as military. If you go to just one airshow in the UK that's the one to go to:-)
@PolluxPavonis14 жыл бұрын
@benjyboba and not as powerful as sr-71 and nearly a thousand more planes. The mig-25 it´s a completely different aircraft and with no chance of winning against an EFA btw... The power of combat aircrafts it´s mesurable by their power-to-weight ratio, and by this, the Eurofighter it´s amazing powered.

We picked a spot right under the flight pass of this aeroplane this afternoon. As she took off, flew over at low level with full reheat the noise was unbelievable but fantastic. I too love to hear the sound of the aircraft and not stupid music dubbed over. I must say she looked pretty threatening with her armoury. Wonderful.

@alecxio If the rumors I've heard are correct, the Typhoon had a VERY good record in 1 vs 1 and 2 vs 2 mock dogfights against F-22 a couple of years ago, and even a good record in BVR fights.

I've seen these at an airshow twice now, but I see them all the time as my girlfriend lives right near a BAE factory. They still amaze me though. It's such a shame that the RAF are replacing these in 2030.

@ianrkav Would love to see it fly full out. Well, restrained doesn't mean less capable as far as the pilot is concerned. RAF has a legendary rep (e.g., Spitfire - Battle of Brittain, etc). I know the RAF and American air crews train closely together. These videos make me want to travel to Farnborough someday to witness one of these air shows. Got to be one of the best on the planet from what I can see.

The typhoon is unmatched and is supposed to beat any aircraft that the decades bring
Actually the myth of the RAF is still alive, as they still kick ass. We're not the ones who made "THE WORLD'S BEST FIGHTER PLANE OMFG IT'S AMAZING" then decide it's not worth continuing in production. The F-22 and F-35 might be very good, but there are some idiots involved in the program. If you think British tactics are bad, explain why the last war we fought alone was won 8,000 miles from home against an enemy with home advantage. Truly great Aircraft? Sea Harrier. 23:0 in Air Combat.
@sthill199314 жыл бұрын
@r1cw Although to be fair once the Eurofighter Typhoons of the Spanish airforce took on 8 F-15s and the result was 7-0. Also one beat 3 F-16s singlehandedly. Not a bad bit of kit! F-22 is very very awesome though!
@alecxio14 жыл бұрын
@grtorrest Yes that's true, obviously are unofficial data, but much things suggest they are true. In dogfight the Typhoon has the advantage of it's small size than f22 and great thrust/weight ratio. In BVR F22 is more stealth than F22, but the Typhoon with the PIRATE sensors can detect an F22 in passive mode also at big distance, about 70 km. Surely the F22 is a fantastic aircraft but considering all the features, Typhoon can be better.

Which was flown by the Royal Navy. Armed by the USA (AIM-9L Sidewinders). The missile made a lot of difference as did the tactics and pilots of the RN. The plane was just a platform. It did coincidentally prove most of Boyd's and Sprey's ideas on air combat: it was physically small, of strange shape and was virtually smokeless. It was hard to see and could shoot you in the face after a simple tone in the headset without maneuvering first. As the results proved, this was huge.
@r1cw14 жыл бұрын
@sthill1993 For sure, I always wonder what the situation was when ever you hear these results regardless of who it is. I know the usaf went to india and had numerous restriction put on their f-15 vs su-30 engagements. The results were the su's spanked the 15's. Well then the su's came to red flag in the u.s. and the results were completely reversed. The raptor was bred for 1 thing, air superiority. The EF is a multi role fighter that is an excellent dog fighter.

@Nine-TailedFox411 жыл бұрын
That means nothing without the specific detail of the engagement. That just tells me those RAF guys are really good but heck i already knew that. You can slick those typhoons off as much as you want and limit it to WVR which is what happened that time with the german typhoons. The RAF stuff is what ide like to see. your source?

@luckyyellow70 Yes. They need to have a display permit or certificate. Certain criteria have to be met when displaying aircraft and the pilots have to know them.

@r1cw an F22 or a Typhoon can easily beat all other fighters expecially F15 , F16, F18, SU27 etc, but it's normal they are much older than these two aircrafts. The F22 to reduce his rcs has an internal weapon storage this fact consist in more weight, more thrust request and less storage capabilities than the Typhoon, to upgrade F22 systems is very hard and the cost is too high, unlike the Typhoon who can be easily upgraded and hust now has a better electronics and avionics systems than an F22.

@29Gixxer Thanks for sharing. Damn the EF is excellent. And as for the QE2 class they will be beautys when they are finnished. Minnimum is 2 carriers i think would be because our weapons are the best. I wonder if the Gotland would support our carriers. That would be a supreme force. Maybe they will make new transport ship with stealthy upper hull like Daring class.

@r1cw14 жыл бұрын
@TheARMAProductions That was the competetion to win the contract for their new multi role strike fighter...right? I think the Su-35 was also included in that as well. I remember that he results were very close between all aircraft involved. It is a testament to the EF that it was chosen for sure. It also a testament to the f-16/ f-18 and Su design(all from the early 70's) that they can compete with designs 25 years newer.
@r1cw14 жыл бұрын
@grtorrest The "rumors" are not correct form what I've read. The F-22 has something like a 200:1 kill ratio in mock dog fights. In fact its only loss was to a F-16 that had been previously killed but allowed to re-energize back into the fight and the F-22 pilot forgot about it.
@r1cw14 жыл бұрын
@alecxio The article I read was in either Combat Aircraft or Airforces Monthly,don't remember which.I have never read about any engagements of the F22 and EF personally.But the 200:1 kill ratio is/was a fact.The 22 has taken on F-15's 2 on 6, 2 on 8 and even more and dominated.The 22's computer has to limit G's to protect the pilot, Its capable of well beyond 9g sustained maneuvers so I'm not sure why you say the usaf sacrificed all other characteristics for stealth, that was the f117 not the 22
@alecxio14 жыл бұрын
That's a great demonstration against F22 and Russians fighters what the Typhoon is capable in a real war scene, i should curious to see in the same conditions the F22 manuverability. An F22 full loaded has also external weapons who reduce his stealth configuration, remember this...

@ronkreed Ps. You're right though. The F18/16 jockeys always seem to put on some of the best displays I do agree. The Typhoon and RAF jockeys in particular always seem to be a bit more restrained. I wish they would just for once really push the envelope you know. Typhoon is capable of much more manoeuvrability than the pilots demonstrate. Maybe they should put a Russian pilot in one:-)
