Im German, parts of my family are from Königsberg/Kaliningrad. Still there is no doubt it should stay Russian for 95% of Germans. The population is Russian. Gorbatschow made our reunification possible, we shouldnt ask for any more. Im glad most Russians are friendly towards Germans, after all that weve done to them. Germans and Russians are similar in many ways, we should be close allys, not opponents.

This beautiful little enclave is a pearl, or should I say, a lovely amber piece in the Russian Federation. For those who challenge Russia's legitimate right to it, I refer them to the history of the Great Patriotic War (WWII) which cost Russia so dearly. The Germans lost the keys to Kaliningrad in the sands of war. Russia more than paid for it in blood.

Don't think so, most people are Russians and wants to stay also they want the city to stay Russians. The Germans signed agreement not to claim back the old territories lost after the war in 1990 after Germany was reunited, they accepted it was punishment for invading Russia and Poland so they said.

After WW2 Russian colonists were moved in largely destroyed and abandoned territory as this territory was given to Soviet Union by International community. It's not for me to judge. There is a small separatism movement there already, and enclaves usually are hard to manage.
