Interview: Serbian filmmaker Emir Kusturica accuses Soros of causing migration issues

Emir Kusturica suspects that US investor George Soros is behind the migration crisis in Europe.
The Serbian film director spoke to euronews in Brussels, where he was attending the opening event for the Balkan Trafik festival.
He also said that the European Union is governed Soviet-style, by unelected officials, and represents the interests of multinational companies.

Too bad there are so few interviews with Kusturica in English, or with English subtitles (if any) on YT. He is very well educated and, which is more important, he is so capable of using his knowledge to see wider picture of THE things around. I consider my self lucky one for I can understand him in his native language :) All in all - great person.

You're right, he's very smart. Because I'm Polish, I have read an interview with him for a Polish newspaper, and he said that he admires Witold Gombrowicz (Polish writer) diaries and his work, he also knew some Polish historical stuff from the 80's in great detail, I was very impressed by that.

Soros is Hungarian Jew, wright? What do you expect from an artist and intellectual to speak during official interview? Btw, Soros is just "one brick in the wall" - there are many soldiers, waiting in the queue to replace him sooner or later. Kusturica explains the problems of the global system that is responsible for destructive tendencies of the humanity, without pointing by finger into particular political factor. His last point is *very* good, in that if you have an efficient system, it grows quickly but it also crashes quickly. Dmitry Orlov has written extensively on the differences between the USSR's crash and the coming USA crash, and how the USSR fared much better than the USA will ,because in the USSR people were used to things not running that well so they had little gardens, they had social networks, family networks, knew how to repair things themselves etc. Dmitry Orlov has many good lectures on youtube here that are well worth a listen.
