I just conquered USSR as Greece in 1939/40 and it was easy as hell. This game is boring and even tiny countries can blob like crazy, because it lacks any meaningful AI and has serious design flaws. I didn't even try hard. I have indef. amounts of tanks, arti, rifles etc. and 70 divisions. HOI 4 is even easier than your average mobile game and no decision you make is meaningful. It doesn't matter, if you have perfect division size or not. It doesn't matter, if you have arti in your divs or not. You just roflstomp every nation with even the most retarded of division designs. I played as Italy and literally clicked random buttons and still killed France and Yugoslavia. It was no challenge at all. This game is broken beyond repair, because there are core features that are just plain dumb.

Castille's truce with Granada is shorter than Portugal's so you might have a problem if (when) they declare war on Granada, obviously a much more significant opponent.

hey a tip for raiding your ships don't have to stop in the sea zone they can be moving from sea zone to sea zone and raid as long as there in the see zone they raid that one.(sorry I'm not good at explaining stuff)

I just finished a Tunis run 2 weeks ago. I quickly got big enough to rival Mamluks by killing the three little guys to the south.Then Ottoman will go for RM and alliance. When they call you into wars, go for favors and just enough land to get to Makuria and East Africa. The favors will allow you to call them in AND stop them rivalling you. I got Sons of Carthage by about 1650 (strong France took over Aragon) and Barbarossa by 1750, but I play a bit slower than Arumba. However, I'll be surprised if he gets 500 privateers before 1700!

It is possible to take berber ideas as a custom nation now. You're right, it originally wasn't in there, but it wasn't unique in that respect, there are a few ideas in the game that aren't available to custom nations.
