I think my wife and I got caught in the same snowstorm as you, we flew in to Istanbul from Northern Cyprus and all the flights out were cancelled, had to spend the night in a hotel and fly out the following day after going through the de icing bay.

Re greasing the propshafts. Did you try to put the transfer box in neutral? You should be able to turn the propshafts by hand, instead of jacking up the wheels.

@@yakoverland4543 that wont stop the rear wheels wanting to turn, if you have manual hubs on the front that will work for the front prop.

Looking forward to seeing you go East, however world affairs will probably stop that. I guess "the stans" will be as far as you get, you'll not get the usual 10 day transit pass / visa from Kazakhstan via Russia to Mongolia. That routes been closed all through Covid and now with the war ....

We just stumble upon them really! Sometimes we use iOverlander but mostly we try to find them ourselves using Google maps or following tracks :)
