I'll never forget my trip to Pisa, the museums were absolutely beautiful as was the scenery. I was with my family, so wasn't on the bike. Loved swimming in the Mediterranean. Great video , enjoy Italy 🇮🇹 l did.

Nice video Steve, never been to that area of Italy looks good. Mention of speed cameras reminds me of a news item a few years ago now. A town in Italy had a speed camera just outside the town. Over a short period about 2500 people were caught but no prosecutions. When interviewed and asked about this the local mayor wasn’t it wonderful that this road was so good people were able to drive fast, not what the interviewer expected

Italy looks wonderful. I’m in two minds whether to bring camping gear on my July trip. I can never seem to sleep comfortable in them and getting older I value comfort!

I must admit, with each passing year I am more drawn to a comfortable bed. There is something uniquely nice about camping off the bike though… I tend to bring with me and not always use it! 😂

I don't know what time of year that the camp site opens, but it's about 9 minutes walk from where you parked your bike in Pisa. I have stopped there a few times, First, time was when I not only visited the tower but whilst waiting for parts being being sent to pisa airport, So I could put a new piston and two valves in my triumph trident. My new trident in 1971, hole in the top of the middle cylinder. HAPPY DAYS,

Hi Alan, I looked at that campsite on pitchup (it said it was really close) but I was a few weeks too early…! That must have been really frustrating waiting for major parts on a brand new bike… the good old days of British motorcycles!!

Hi Taff, I use Pitchup.com to help me find campsites (I really like this), I sometimes use iOverlander too, although not as often and to let my loved ones know where I am (on the occasions I have no phone signal), I have a Garmin mini InReach 2, using their message app and map app. And google maps as to back up to the Nav 6 (I need to use that a lot!).
