What is Risk?
Risk is a strategy board game of diplomacy, conflict and conquest for two to six players. Players may form and dissolve alliances during the course of the game. The main goal in the standard version is to conquer every territory on the map and in doing so, eliminate the other players.

Hey Risk4ever using your vids I have been able to rank up to expert so far , but I have been using your tip to set minimum level of games to intermediate so I dont have to lose that many points. Unfortunately I found in multiple games that these higher rank players make the game stalemate alot because no one wants to start a costly war. I have played these games for hours and it gets incredibly boring regardless of if your winning or are far behind. The best I was able to do was try to box other players in but some like sa just dont take a card and dont attack anyways. Do you have any tips? Should i go back to novice games so that there isnt a peace the whole game?

Play 4 player games instead of 5 or 6 player ones. Or maybe even try out 3 player games to see how it goes 🤔 Or yeah, if the games you get with high ranked players will still be too boring, then you could try playing with novices and beginners and see if it's more fun 👍

An interesting strategy I have found is to turtle your troops somewhere other than your main continent and once that army is big enough, use it to take another continent I tried it on Europe’s map and I had the French and Ottoman Empire by turn 3

Always see beginners try this with Australia and South America early game... sometimes the other players are so bad they enable that player to dominate after like 3 turns

Try to team up on the weakest player and take them out or if your strong enough, just take them out yourself. If your the weakest then sometimes I’ll do something crazy to change my position.

I don't like going for europe and trying to hold it, and especially I don't like alliances. Too often people who are allied with you will break the alliance and attack you anyway. What do you think of the strategy of not holding any continents and simply building up all your armies in one big territory and then picking off players one by one when advantageous? I see people occasionally doing that?

If you play with over agressive low ranked players then it could be a very good strategy, they won't be paying much attention to you while try to prevent each other from holding continents. But if you play with high ranked players, then you could be risking of getting eliminated first by being the weakest, especially if it's a 6 player game. However, when you cannot hold any continents, to put your troops to one big army somewhere in a neutral place is the best strategy eitherway.

Have you considered making multiple accounts and only playing one game type per account? I would be interested to see which account you would rank higher in; playing with only fixed cards account or only progressive cards account.

This is what I always do - I play only one type games with my alternative accounts. I just abandon them when I reach grandmaster rank (I'm always trying to be my record trying to get GM rank in as less games as possible). But yeah, maybe it would be an interesting idea to continue playing on them after reaching GM and see how it goes with each settings 🤔

@@Risk4Ever How can you have multiple accounts? Do we have to buy the premium in order to do it? I play in an iPAD and we have an assigned named and account. To change (or start over) I need to remove the app and install it again.

@@martinleonard3684 You don't need premium. You just need to log out of your old account and then just simply press on "create RISK profile". That's it. Also before logging out of your old account - make sure to set up a password for that account and create a risk generated name too if you haven't already, otherwise you can lose your old account for good.

Please help! I played a 6 player fixed game, 4 people got conts. Me and another player didn’t, but then the strongest played started crushing armies of like 15-20 until I died. I’m not sure how to beat that

I guess you cannot really do much alone by yourself, so the best idea would probably be to try teaming up with other players, sending them attack requests to attack that player, but if nobody wants to help you out, then you're dead I guess

By "block" you mean army? If so, then if you have a bigger continent, and if that person has a small continent, then eventually when you'll have quite more troops - you can just simply eliminate that player out of the game, if it doesn't break the balance of the game or doesn't give a significant advantage to one of the other players, and of course assuming you will stay alive after the elimination

I don’t like it when games takes three hours to win. After one hour or maximally two hours I suicide on the player who deserves the win the less. I also have another thing. I play on my ipad and games that got disconnected never reconnects. So many good games have gone to waste
