As many have said, Benetton was super popular in the late 80s/early 90s, but it’s an Italian brand, and they were known for their very diverse and international advertisements. The “b” rugby shirt was huuuge back in my day and they always had super soft sweaters and sweater leggings. So glad you got to experience a bit of Paris!

Benetton was in America in the 80s and 90s. I lived in NH and it was one of my fave stores to shop in high school. Not sure if there are any still in the U.S. but if not we are missing out for sure!

Yes! Always went to the pheasant lane mall to shop at Benetton. I haven’t seen one in the us in a lonnnggg time

Most food born illnesses have an incubation period and it was probably something you ate the day before, not actually your late night snack!

That was EXACTLY how I felt after trying a croissant (and a baguette) in Paris. I was like, what in the world have we been eating in the U.S.? NOT a croissant, that’s for sure! So so good.

It seems like Food poisoning is quite common in Paris. I had it also in Paris. I couldnt get up for 4 days. I think it was salad, but I‘m not sure.

Keep in mind that there are two versions to the La Roche-Posay Duo - the European and the American version. People claim that they are two entirely different products, the US having 5.5% Benzoyl Peroxide which is too strong for some people to use all over the face. European version is more gentle.

United Colors of Benetton is Italian, not French. It was really popular in the US in the 80s.

I once had food poisoning for a week. After I finally went to the ER they actually lectured me for waiting so long because I had lost 15lbs & they told me I could have died, I was so dehydrated.

Was the late night food a sausage by any chance? Myself and my husband had the exact same experience in Paris on our honeymoon!! I had a bite and he ate the entire thing. It was our last night and we missed our flight the next day he was so sick.
