Jamie's a great speaker (heard him at VSBA recently) and a terrific teacher. He seems to anticipate questions and address them before they're asked and presents material in a very organized and thoughtful way.

So if the beekeeper is the most common transporter of AFB, does that mean the state inspector is responsible for delivering it to you ? There's a thought . might explain why CCD is so huge.

the bees are eating the larvae or removing them. They sometimes dry out is it hot in your area? are they producing royal jelly for the eggs? If no royal jelly for the eggs they will dry out after hatching. and die.
