@@Muzikman127 The reason why it sounds so good and realistic is because it's not sample based, and it doesn't work like a "traditional" synthesizer (using FM, subtractive, or additive synthesis). It uses audio modeling synthesis, where it simulates the vibrations of the instrument with a physical model. For something that isn't recorded in a studio, I'd say you can get about 95% or so of the way toward it sounding like a real instrument. The main thing about these synthesizers is that they take quite a bit of practice to sound good, because you're essentially going to need to control several parameters at once (velocity/articulation, flutter, and possibly others like slide position if modeling a tuba, for example). You also generally need some kind of MIDI controller that allows you to do this effectively. The process can be a bit painstaking unless you've practiced a whole lot with it, essentially you're playing an entirely new instrument that goes beyond just a keyboard. It's good stuff, though. Definitely worth checking out if that sort of thing is interesting to you.

I don't play piano but that second one, the Expressive E - Osmose, looks like an absolute joy to play. The gestures it allows for is exactly what my fingers would want to do to get those effects out of a keyboard. Beautiful.
