Slovakia, Croatia and Norway was part of Germany during their rule. Päts wasn’t as authoritarian as the other Baltic states. And i completely forgot Alexander I

@@Turkpatriotantalia Oh I see...that does sound authoritarian. But I'm still not convinced that it was a dictatorship. There were three elections during the Second Republic, two was won by the soc-dems and one by the catholic conservatives. From these alone, I guessed that Spain was a your typical two-party system democracy, like the UK or USA, albeit a million times more unstable considering it imploded into a civil war. But please, tell me, enlighten me about what thought and criticisms could get you persecuted by the Second Republic. I am actually really intrigued by this topic. I'm looking forward tó learning new things from you.

Only Turkey is a modern day ”dictatorship”, depending on what criteria. All other countries you had mentioned are democracies with legal free speech

SFR Yugoslavia should not be included because it had the highest percent of Western stuff in the Eastern European communist block with around 50% western stuff there and they also had good relations with the West.
