Bro why do you over complicate it? Since the base 1/4 < 1, (1/4)^x is a strictly decreasing function and x is strictly increasing, they have an intersection at x=1/2 because (1/4)½ = 1/2, and because of the former note there can be no other solutions, only this one.

What about...if 1/(4^x)=x, cross-multiplication yields 4x^2 =1; take the square roots and 2x=+-1. Since since x cannot be negative, x = 1/2.

x4^x is not equal to 4x^2. Yes the solution is 1/2, but you got lucky.

Cross multiplying 1/(4^x) = x gets you , 1 = (x) (4^x), why the reciprocal?

Cross multiplication also gives 4x^2=1 meaning x^2=1/4 and so x=1/2. A much l;ess complicated solution than yours.

You have an incorrect step on 1:38. What if x=-0.5? There are no meaning of (-0.5)^(-0.5). You just can't do it.

What is your plan? The solution helps no one if an explanation is not given of why or how you think about solutions. Of course, its obvious that 1/2 is a solution by looking at each side of the equation.

The problem was sight readable to allow an easier comprehension of the general solution structure. For example, would (1/256)^X = X, be as easy to sight read. If insufficiently difficult, an example beyond immediate sight reading would not be difficult to construct.

@@adamnyback Well , I do agree he could've execute the video better in bunch of ways of course . But what I didn't stand with is the blatant statement like the gentlemen did. "The most annoying narration" is a childish statement I may say and there're a bunch of ways to express what's wrong with the video. Like you sir! You expressed your opinion stating actual points instead of "ah I hate this channel!!".
