0:46 ETCS + GSM-R = ERTMS, endorsed by EC IN 2000. 2005 first lines in Italy, Spain. 2012 Copenhagen agreement spec. 2:11 ERMTS stakeholder platform 2:44 Denmark plans full implementation by 2022.

no, This system is much faster, allows for more frequency, and allows for much high top speeds. More trains on a traject means move more people with faster top speed. STM is old system
