VFD dude from Germany here. We have some of those bags on our fire engines. One of them contains medical equipment, the other one contains door breaching tools, like power drill, screwdrivers, latch needles, hardened drill bits, spare lock cylinders etc.

German Medic here, we both use vial and ampoule. I 100% agree with you not understanding why we still do ampoule. I got nothing bad to say about PAX besides maybe that the plastic clips holding the shoulder straps can break easily when you don't adjust them to your size properly and only carry on one shoulder. Also we have gotten custom things made from PAX and they always delivered on what we asked for. For a long time we used very custom to us bagpacks from them and now we also got large medication bags custom made too.

The removable modules are becoming more popular in the UK under the "ready bag" mindset. All modules are checked and tagged by a depot tech, if you use one, you just hand in the used module(s) and grab a new tagged one. Requires more manpower, but reduces turn around time for a truck and the risk of errors.

+ sturdy, water/mud/blood tight, good to clean inside and outside, tons of different modules, magnets, a lot of variants (they got different 4 just for flying, with velcro...which you can customize). - super expensive (you can pay 1k for 1 bigger rucksack with modules easily), heavy, bulky, uncomfortable...they are made to carry them like 10m from the car into the house...or throw them at someone and run away^^ Most of Germany use those but as many said, most also use the double rucksack variants and they are little bit smaller/lighter. If you got the money you can get a super individual rucksack which lasts for a decade but you want to keep it in your car and not carry it around^^

I also work in German EMS and I agree with your statement of ampules. I hate them and dont understand why we still use them. Propably cost but I feel like the poke through viles are so much better. We do have them for like ASS 100, Heparin and Adrenalin but the rest is still in ampules.

Most medications aren't produced in vials for the European market. So it's, in first, not about the costs but about availability. Bzw the way: ASS mit 100mg Wirkstoff in einer Stechampulle? Das ist mir bislang nicht nicht untergekommen. Ich kenne im Rettungsdienst nur die 500mg Trockensubstanz.

I’ve been following your channel for a long time and I really enjoy your content. Actually Your channel is one of my favorite medical KZbin channels. The delivery of your content is always on point, its clear and concise, and you explain things in such a way that even people that don’t have a medical background can easily grasp. As a content creator myself I have started to shift some of my videos from the typical gun/Accessory reviews to more disaster preparedness, medical etc. This bag gave me a lot of ideas not only for my own personal medical kit that I keep in my vehicle but for potential content on my channel as well. Now I don’t have the subscription numbers that you do as I am just shy of 20K, But I was actually bummed that you didn’t get to keep the bag. You have a very large audience and I know some people may see my statement here as a negative one but I don’t care. I receive very few items on my own channel as an exchange for a review, and like you I truly try to stay as unbiased as possible because people like us truly care about the information that we share. My point to the bag is you have spent a very long time of your personal life developing the skill set in order to obtain the job that have, years and years of advanced training, continuing education, the stress of being a first responder, the time, money, And know how to make a successful review and channel. A lot of work has been poured into the individual that you are today ,and making KZbin videos isn’t as easy as a lot of people would claim it to be. If you happen to come across this, follow my information to my email and drop me a line or two. Videos like this one is a way that you pay it forward to your loyal subscribers and the KZbin community. I’ve got something I’d like to send you in lieu of the med bag, nothing too crazy but it might benefit you, and it’s just my way of paying it forward back to you. For SAR teams, mountain rescue, et al Pax actually has a different bag called the Mt. McKinley. It features more sophisticated padding, a form better suited to mountaineering and separate compartments for med stuff, even though it's obviously smaller than on a full medic bag, and rope work / SAR stuff, including straps to secure a rope on top of the pack.

We use different type of bags on our Ambulances in Germany. The Ambulances will be replaced after 6 years or 220.000km (which is 136.000 miles) - whatever comes first. Normally you get also new backpacks with the new car. PAX is good, but there are also some nice alternatives. Our physician emergency car has ROCKSNAKE bags which are often used in Air oder Mountain-Rescue. We also have bags from STAVANGER. Nice inside compartments, very durable. Great content! (y)

My city uses these backpacks in an dual configuration. Blue backpack for airway, breathin and the 2 liter O2 tank (in its own neat holder, thus you can clip it on your belt, when mobilizing a patient). And a red one for all the diagnostics, i.v. module, i.o. module, a smaller kit with hygene and sick sacks, same sized kit fits a SAM splint and an ice pack, the 'pharmacy module' and a pouch that is meant to be carried on the medic's belt with morphin and our headsets (for calling a doctor at dispatch, who can see our monitor and the patient in the ambulance. It's used to administure drugs, we are usually not allowed to use e.g. metamizol). We have them in use for about a year and I really like the ergonomics. Only the daily check is somewhat unhandy. Feels like christmas opening up all those presents^^

Got to help one of the first US 911 PAX roll outs. These bags are great, sturdy and can be every bit as OCD as you want to be. Wish they'd make metal strap hardware cause medics like to break things but they're easy to replace. Also they make a med module using elastic loops now to account for different vial sizes cause those little red tabs will break when people try to force things. Seriously great bags.

This size of meds compartment is generally designed for physician response units ore jurisdictions with maximum scope of practice for the paramedics (depending on the counties medical director). But very important is that in Germany because of regulations certain medications must be carried by the provider himself (typically in a small hard-case bag on the belt). This fits for all Opioids (depending on the scope of practice morphine and sometimes Fentanyl on the ALS unit added on the Physician Response Unit sometimes by Sufenta, or some weaker Opioids).

"Europe EMS" it's a little bit large and some european country have fully different way to treat medical emergency, by crossing one border (in this example I'm using Switzerland/France border), you can pass from one country where you get medical assistance from heavely trained professional (minimum paramedic (3 years of training full time) up to doctor) in less than 15 minutes even if you are on the top of a mountain to a country where you can wait 20 minute for FD on a critical emergency and got two 18 years old boy without any experience and who got a 2 week stage and wait something like 50 additional minutes to get a doctor. (We can to add the material difference, some standard tool in Switzerland are high tech toy for specialized unit in Paris in France). But you can got this kind of difference between a lot of european country. ( and fun fact, for french speaker, EMS mean "établissement médico-social" ("medical-social establishment" in english).

We only use backpacks from PAX. I don't see the problem with the ampoules that was mentioned. We carry ampoules (glass, plastic, puncture ampoules) in a separate bag in our backpack where we have everything we need. In the last 17 years, I have broken 5 ampoules while on duty! I don't think that's really relevant. Drawing up the medication is a simple matter for full-time emergency services, and we also carry around 40 medications on paramedic rescue vehicles, each of which can be drawn up in different ways or as desired. In our area, this is largely up to the paramedic (German equivalent NFS). Our opioids are in a safe in the vehicle; there is no other legal option. These are only used by the paramedic, but the EMT has to get them and draw them up, which of course wastes time. There are also separate medications for doctors, but they bring their own medications in a separate vehicle.

Random video ideas if needing content. Short something on obese patients and any of the things you have to change up. Like can you even get a tourniquet to work on a 600lb life ham hock.

Although I could buy many Chanel or Hermes bags every month, the bags I buy are much cheaper and they are all from kislux . I don't want to worry about the bags being stolen or damaged. I'd better leave the money I save to my parents, Or donate to charity.

My sister is married to a rich guy and he gives her whatever she wants so she buys "designer bags and jewellery" but little does he know that everything she has is a fake. She puts that money on the side for probably a rainy day. True story luxrul

Indeed, they do have a bunch of colors (red, blue etc.), at least in the European market.

I’ve seen some interesting modular packs before, but this takes the cake! The magnetic system looks amazing. Tangent: I recently made a first aid kit for my daughter, using a rugged 3D printed case and “gridfinity” modules inside. There are magnet options for that, too, at the cost of adding a little height. I color-coded the inside modules for bleeding control (TQ, gauze, compression bandage), cleaning, and minor bumps and scrapes. Then we watched your videos on bleeding control and did a couple practice runs. She’s going off to college and if you’ve ever mentored teens in machine shops before, there’s absolutely potential for disaster.

I was tempted because my friend is black and she is often asked if her bag is fake. People just immediately assume they are. Even though I'm white, I still get people asking me if my bag is real. So I thought why should I spend so much money on these bags? So in the end I chose to buy it at kislux . Even if it is not the original, some replicas can have special emotional value because they are connected to specific memories
