The DP World Tour resumes its 2024 season with the first event of a five-week stretch in the Middle East as the inaugural Dubai Invitational marks the start of the International Swing. World Number Two Rory McIlroy will be at the Dubai Creek Resort this week. The Northern Irishman has enjoyed great success in middle east, claiming five of his 16 DP World Tour titles in Dubai. The 34-year-old begins the new year aiming to win the sixth Harry Vardon Trophy of his career. Six-time DP World Tour winner Tommy Fleetwood will be in Dubai this week. He’s making back-to-back appearances on the DP World Tour as the Englishman looks to build on momentum generated from an impressive 2023 season, which included his second Ryder Cup win, and a runner up finish in Dubai at the DP World Tour Championship. DP World Tour Championship winner Nicolai Højgaard will also fancy his chances this week. He’ll be looking to kick on from a successful 2023 which included victories as part of Continental Europe in the inaugural Hero Cup and Team Europe in the Ryder Cup at Marco Simone, as well as earning PGA TOUR playing privileges for 2024 via the FedEx Cup. Others to look out for are Luke Donald, Francesco Molinari and Thriston Lawrence.

i find myself watching the every shot coverage whenever i have time on my hands. in doing so, i've come to learn quite a lot about course management & it has also helped me in managing my expectations when on the course seeing that not every shot the pros hit is perfect...🏌‍♀⛳

So frustrating as a fan to watch such a great golfer make the same mistakes for so long. He needs to cut out those sloppy mistakes in tournaments like this as preparation for the big ones.

9:37. He's aiming just left of the lip of the hole. 13:20. He's aiming left again. I wonder if Rory and Fleetwood would re-watch this match of theirs. It's a really good match. Some advice for Rory and any other golfer regarding putting. Draw a line from the left edge and the right edge of the hole to the ball. From there it's easy to notice any degree of curvature between the ball and the hole. If you're pace is correct, you will never again miss any putts within 10ft. Would be great if Rory sees this 😂. Someone please let him know. He's one of the reasons I wanted to turn professional.

I assume this video titled “Every Shot of Rory McIlroy vs Tommy Fleetwood| 2024 Dubai Invitational” also includes every shot of Thriston Lawrence. You know, the guy who outscored the two of them on the final day and (like Rory,) was awaiting a playoff should Tommy not have holed that putt. His round’s in here too, right? Otherwise, what’s the point of this video? You already showed Tommy’s winning highlights yesterday so why show them again? The rhetorical answer is two-fold: 1) There was probably a bunch of Rory content lined up for his inevitable win which never came. 2) He is one of the biggest names in golf and just mentioning it results in more clicks, more likes and more engagement like this (which is also why his name’s mentioned first in the title 🙄). This was Tommy’s moment and doing things like this just dilutes it. It’s like we’re giving Rory a present even though it’s Tommy’s Birthday. Ok. Rant over. Keep up the good work. I do love watching the content you create and I know that whoever made this is just following orders.
